We can't find a better point guard than Ronnie Price?

There's a 5'8 20 yr old somewhere in a rec league who would outplay price.

In order to get Emmanuel Mudiay, you need Ronnie Price. With a better point guard, there is no tank.

Not sure where to put this but what about brandon jennings? Under contract for two more seasons @ 8 mil per. Still young and maybe playing next to kobe could do wonders for him. Looks like pistons are ready to trade everyone but Drummond.

Jennings sucks and is overpaid. I'd honestly prefer Price, and I think it's been made clear I'm no fan of Price.

If jennings is overpaid what is lin? Jennings is also a major upgrade over price personal feelings aside.

Lin averaged almost 14 pts and over 6 assists and started 82 games in his first year at Houston. He was replaced by Beverley (9 pts and 2 assists) the next year as a starter. I don't buy the "Bev is better at defense" argument - Bev, like Price, is constantly running into screens and losing his man. Lin actually played much better defense before coming to the Lakers and constantly shut down/contained some of the top PG's in the league. I've been very surprised that his defense has not been as good this year. It can only be the great defensive teaching of BS. Anyhow history is repeating itself again at LA with Lin losing his starting spot because of the superior defense of Price. I don't usually believe in conspiracy theories but there's something very stinky going on.

Once Byron is finished with this current "trial period" for the starters, I don't think Price will continue to start. If he does, we will likely have no chance at winning games against most teams.

The starters are putting too much of a burden on our bench to score because the starters are being consistently outplayed. If Byron wants Kobe to play point guard, then put someone who can actually shoot the ball in the starting lineup with him. Like Nick or Wayne.

Jennings sucks. Price at least won't jack up shots on a whim. Lin is overpaid right now too, but less so than Jennings, IMO, since Lin actually works hard on defense. Jennings is a barely average NBA talent who thinks he's an all star/superstar.

Lin is an ending contract who got us a first round pick. If Jennings were the same I would be all for trading for him.

The latter.

Unfortunately, that 3 game winning streak didn't help matters.

This org can't even tank properly.

Are people really forgetting we got a 1st round pick with Lin?

Jennings is garbage.

Saw Reggie Jackson jack up shots late in the game last night. He might have cost the Thunder a chance to win against Golden State. Don't really want him either.

On pace for 26 wins. Worst than last year.

The Lakers got the #7 pick for the lottery, but the odds were to get #6.

We just need Top 5.

We're fine.

Ronnie is a defensive player, but because he is so terrible at offense that you can't say he's at least balanced.

But we're trying to lose games here. In which case Ronnie Price is the tankmaster general.

How are we fine?

We are currently behind Philly, New York, Detroit, Minnesota, Charlotte, Utah, and Indiana. Carmelo Anthony is going to be sitting out for a while, so the Knicks aren't going to win many more games. Minnesota just traded Corey Brewer. Boston just traded their best player in Rondo and are probably going to trade their second best player in Jeff Green so they will be right in the mix. The only shot we have of getting a top 5 pick is if we luck into the top 3. We're not going to out tank the teams currently ahead of us thanks to Kobe/Young. I don't know why Laker fans keep deluding themselves into thinking that.

Don't worry, Team Tank was on an unlucky streak playing teams with key injuries, tonight should steer the Tank Committee straight
