Wow. Not an ideal add to the lakers, but most likely can get him cheap. I know a lot you wanted him a couple years ago. What do you think about experimenting for the rest of the year?

Shots fired. We should retaliate by waiving Hill.

With all the injuries, and current state of affairs, the FO has done zip to improve. Don't think anything happens until the off season.

Maybe Kobe can get some Kobe assists out of him?

If the Lakers are content with the season being a lost-cause.... then they better write a open letter to the fans and season ticket-holders..... no one is gonna want to watch these bums play lackluster bball for the next 4-5 months...... they are not exciting and don't have much brand to look forward to..... I honestly... think the Lakers are in a current psych and can't decide what to do.

The Pistons could have gotten actual NBA players for Smith in the offseason.

Can we not use a portion of the Nash exception to sign him for the rest of the year?

If we did sign him, does the money we give him offset what Detroit owes him or does he get both?

Detroit has to make up the difference between what he is paid and what he is owed. I think we can only sign a potential FA using the Nash money but am not 100% sure about that.

Pass on Smith, but I'd try to swing this trade now that they are in tank/rebuild mode.

Cavs get J Hill and Wes Johnson

Pistons get Waiters and James Jones

Lakers get Monroe and B Haywood

Cavs want to move Waiters for a defender/rebounder and J Hill fits the bill. Pistons have to know Greg Monroe is gone in the summer, so getting Waiters for him is a nice trade. We pick up Monroe to try him out for a few months and decide how much we are willing to pay in the offseason. We also get his bird rights so we can give him a fifth year.

Thanks. If that is the case, we have nothing to offer him other than playing time. He will likely end up with a contender like Miami.

I agree. When he does no matter what any team offers him, he gets paid the same.

They are in rebuilding mode and keep Kobe to stay relevant.

why not waiters coming here? with B haywood?

why trade an asset for a UFA? who will add to our wins?

next yr we will have bench of lin, waiters, Swaggy, ed davis and sacre

I'd rather start Josh Smith at PG than Price.

If that's the case, he's going to Houston.
