Could be true for all the players not just the PGs |

He looks like an idiot if we win because he believes without Kobe on the floor this team can't do anything |
Agreed. It would not look good on Scott since he insisted of playing Kobe heavy minutes and used him at PG. It would go to show that Scott does not know how to evaluate the players on his team. | that was one of the knocks on Scott when he refusedto play Darren Collinson. |

It's amazing how they played without Kobe. I think the team was sending him a message and saying, hey we're in this league for a reason. Of course the Warriors underestimated the Lakers without Kobe and the fact that they've whopped up on them twice already this year. Never the less the Lakers put together a perfect effort on both sides, I'm proud to be a Lakers fan today!
GOOD JOB COACH SCOTT. I think we've seen what this team has been doing in practice. If you look at 90% of the games we've played this season, we were right there, but now we're starting to play more like a team!
GO LAKERS! |
Yea I definitely felt a message being sent. Everyone was all smiles and cheering. It's like a huge weight has finally been lifted and suddenly they were a full team of NBA caliber players. Weird without kobe... |
Right cause Kobe was the only thing keeping Ronnie Price back from dropping 17/8 nightly |
No, but Kobe was not playing the type of team ball that was on display tonight. Ronnie hustled, stole the ball, got back on defense, dived for 50/50 balls. So did a lot of the guys, Lin also stole the ball and hustled. They had 7 guys in double figures, does that happen with Kobe? Him being out changed the whole spirit of how they played the game. They were a real team, they usually are Kobe and the rest when he is in and that needs to change. |

Jeez, all the agenda-driven nuts are out. These game threads after the game are getting unreadable. |

Price finally didn't have to cover for Kobe's lazy ass on defense. and the team as a whole improved dramatically especially on transition defense |

OK, we are a bit lucky with the first 3 quarters with all the shots going in. But it is because of the beautiful ball movement that the shots are going in with high %, and everybody playing tough defense as a team. The team ball is just beautiful to watch. Hope the players now see that if they play hard as a team they can win against the best. |

So true. When you play beautiful team ball and 7 players in double digits, Warriors don't even know where or who to begin defending. They were like being killed by the Spurs in the playoff with every player being a threat on offence. It is simply awesome feeling to see the best team in nba with the best defense given up with 6 minutes to go subbing their starters out.

You look at how Lin and Price played tonight and you wonder how in the world does Byron play Kobe as PG. There is nothing wrong with the team's PGs. Also Lin's handles look stronger tonight, like he's been working on change of direction or something. Price just looked like a veteran with a plan. He had a few TOs but nothing out of the ordinary. 28 assists for the team, 7 guys in double figures, this was a nice, nice win. |

All I'm hearing from our players post game is....
"We were moving the ball."
"We were all playing unselfishly tonight."
"Everybody was contributing....it was contagious."

It was the truth. Should they play it down so as not to piss off one player? Let the boys enjoy the unexpected win. |

Who's saying that the players should play it down as to not piss off one player? I would think the players enjoyed this win and I welcome everything they said post game. _________________ The butter's hard and the eggs are chillin' in the dark.

Please, when people point out that a good team we upset was without a key player they fail to mention the lakers have 4 players out. One is their 10 million dollar starting point guard and the other is their 7th overall bluechip PF. We've been playing without key personnel since the beginning of the season so any key absences on the other side are a wash. |
