Lin had an assist to Hill and got E.D. the ball for 2 FTs. then he's taken out of the game for Price. Lin is a closer and Byron can't get it through his thick skull. Way to reward the guy with playing time after hitting that big 3 in the previous game. Scott's coaching is pathetic.

Re-allocate the $25million elsewhere, yea we can be better.

That's just dumb. How about we get real NBA talent around Kobe and we can be better.

Lin just has to learn how to show up against elite pgs on the road. It was same in MSG. He plays off momentum. He's like the anti-road player. He's the opposite of Blake and Fisher. That's why he's so inconsistent.

The road has absolutely nothing to do with how Lin plays.

He plays better in front of home crowds. Most role players do. Arguing this is futile. Thanks for trying.

Hopefully Kobe plays next game and plays under 30 min.

We scored 93.. gave up 113.

We look about the same as we always look, and that Golden State game was just one of those games like last year where we were on. Didn't mean anything, and still doesn't.

Wonder if people will find a way to blame Kobe for this too.

I don't understand why people are blaming Kobe. Kobe is still great in spurts. We just need to make sure not to run him into the ground and keep him fresh for when it's needed. Blaming the players for Byron's ineptitude sounds pretty dumb to me. Byron is the one who ran Kobe to the ground, he's the one who decides on our offensive scheme and defensive schemes. He's the one who said no threes and refuse to run pick and rolls. He's the one who doesn't play Lin with Davis even though everyone with eyes know how effective that combo is. (bleep) Byron.

Because most people are unappreciative of Kobe and don't realize his bad play isn't necessarily who he is but more to do with him not adjusting and being tired. He'll have rest, he'll adjust.

Come on bro, it's Christmas, don't be too hard on the rookie. He hasn't been playing much.

Clarkson is doing what all rookies normally do. Can't really be too hard on him. He's learning on the job in limited minutes given to him. He'll be the better for it. And, he would have been better if we gave him more spot minutes earlier and throughout the season.

Lin wasn't good today. He missed some shots he needs to hit, and he disappeared for stretches. What I don't like Scott doing is not really varying his rotations at all. He wanted to experiment today to find a squad to play together? Then vary it up instead of constantly doing five in and five out. We've seen Lin and Davis work well together, get them some plays together. Mix it up.

Lin has played great games on the road. To say he has some home advantage I think is just not true. I don't think it matters. He has played killer games on the road as well and absolutely horribly at home.

last thing people want to see after a loss is the pointless game thread standings.

We should be using Kobe in spurts.

The best way to use Kobe was exampled in the Sacramento game.

He came out in the 3rd with fresh legs, lead us on a run and the plays we ran for him were money plays!!

Then when his shot started to fall short halfway through Scott should have sat him for Ellington to rest him for the 4th quarter. But instead he played him the full 3rd which took away Kobe's legs for the rest of the game and only further exhausted him.

If Scott played the 1st and the 3rd up to the 4th-2nd minute mark and played 30-32 mins a game then maybe we'd be able to use him in those bursts in addition to everything else we're trying to run.

Scott's problem was he'd run isolations all day in a lineup where Wes Johnson was the 2nd reliable scorer next to Kobe -_- that compounded every other problem.

Preserve Kobe, bring the bench in sooner, let them push the pace, let the slow pace go through Kobe and Boozer in the starting lineup. It's darn simple but Scott doesn't get it.

That said Davis is playing well now. But danged if I don't say every second I see Sacre get minutes because Kelly and Randle are injured I'm infuriated.

The team fought. Not necessarily on rebounding. Gotta box out. Not jump and play volleyball against taller players.

A good offensive coach could have had us in position to steal it in the end. Oh well.

What's a tired/fatigued/injured Kobe good for? Let the man get his rest and make sure BS use him wisely when he plays.

Uhhh.. I didn't say he shouldn't rest. I said the criticism that we're better without him is absurd. Thanks for bad comprehension though!

Haha...maybe you should learn to write better . A healthy Kobe used in the right way will definitely help us, but that hadn't been the case in the last dozen games.

Anyway, it's Christmas, let's pray that he recovers well and fast and BS receives some smart pills for Christmas.

Lin had a grand total of two assists (same number as Nick Young, the shot-happy SG) and was 2 of 8 shooting. Hardly the kind of performance to start blaming the coach for.
