There's a boatload of great teams this year (and last) but none that appear dominant.

The playoffs are going to be pretty sweet this year, for both conferences.

Rox enjoying Smith's 34% FG, 12% from three, 45% from the line?

He was horrible yesterday, the stupid 1 on 3 play where he got rejected by AD was not even acceptable for a rookie.

When Montejunas came in the score was crippled.

His annoying habit of shooting jumpers fading away when open seems to OK for coaches.
WHY??

Pistons are 4-0 since dumping Smith.

I wonder if Dreamshake is stalking Smith right now, looking for his chance to throttle him for the dumb shots he routinely jacks up. I warned him about that, but Smith's low bball iq would test anyone's limits.

Their cupcake schedule is coming to roost. Last 10 games their SoS jumped by a huge margin. Time to put the big boy pants on.

Their last few games weren't so easy. Their last 8 were New Orleans, Atlanta, Portland, Memphis, San Antonio Washington, Charlotte, and New Orleans again. Aside from Charlotte, those are all playoff teams (or playoff caliber since New Orleans is only a game out of the 8 seed in the tough West). It should be more concerning that they only won 3 of those 8 games (Charlotte, Portland, and Memphis in OT). I'm sure the excuse will be that they were integrating Smith.

I thought it was a bit of a coup to get Smith on that team. I would have done it too, especially since they didn't give up anything to get him (and don't have to pay his absurd contract). But there may be some elite cancer stuff going on here. Since Smith moved teams Houston is 2-3 and Detroit is 4-0.

Basically in one week without Smith Detroit was able to notch about the same amount of wins it took them 2 months to get with Smith.

Yep, it's a little of both. Their recent stretch has had them playing some beast teams. Couple that with some chemistry issues and voila.

Josh Smith has been benched. That didn't take long.

Their record has been surprisingly good. It's a long season, though. 6-8 seed is where I think they will finish.

Jason Terry isn't exactly lighting things up, either. Ariza and Beverley are also laying foundations. They are lucky to have Montiejunas.

Forunately for the Rockets, I could say this about pretty much any of the playoff teams in the West. Including the teams I think are better than the Rockets.

I watched him lay an egg against the Lakers when he was on the Pistons earlier this season. He was horrible outside, and he showed a horrible touch when he's inside near the rim. I don't care about his athleticism, I didn't want the Lakers to touch him even if he was free. He may be athletic but if he plays as dumb as he did the game I saw him play earlier, the Rockets have no chance in a series in which he's playing significant minutes against any good team.

Shot 1-5 three point land.
Overall 10-20 from the floor, but how the hell should this guy be allowed to shoot 20 times?

I guess he has a good agent...

A 6th or 7th seed isn't out of the question for them. Even getting out of the 1st Round will be tough.

If he played 40 minutes...he'd have 40 shots....
