Hopefully ill hear "another rebound..by guess who? Tarik Black." Sooner rather than later with him in a Lakers uniform
I want it to happen due to Sacre's minutes getting cut completely however |

This kid has a great attitude and a positive outlook:
He will be with the team vs Denver!
Quote: | "I took it positively. I can't take it hard," he said. "I don't apply pressure to myself. You can apply pressure to yourself in some abstract ways, and that's one of them. Thinking, 'Well I should take it hard because I was just cut. What am I going to do?'
"That's not my style. I just play the game. I play as hard as I can. Somebody will like me if I play as hard as I can. Somebody will pick me up. Somebody will give me an opportunity and if they don't, then I just probably wasn't good enough to do it, but thus far it hasn't been proven yet."

Can he set solid picks and roll hard to the basket? |

That's basically all he does offensively (his O arsenal is limited) but he's pretty good at PnR.
Per Coach Scott: Quote: | Tarik Black will wear #28 and probably won't play in Denver on Tuesday. |

Luckily we don't need him to rebound and block shots with his head |

GOOD POINT!
He's not much on shot blocking but is a tenacious rebounder. |

He hustles. He knows exactly what to provide for the team in the absence of a starting center. This makes him an excellent role player.

Does Tarik provide any rim protection? At least better than Sacre?
I'm getting tired of a seven footer who can't move his feet and can't jump.
You don't have to be 7ft to take charges...Tarik can probably do that.
But isn't Tarik a rookie? Won't he get the same DNP treatment Clarkson gets?
Can Tarik contribute right away? |

He is a rook & won't be a savior by any means.
He's not a great rim protector but he is a good physical defender and a high energy guy. |

The second Byron quote sounds like he just repeated what he said in the preseason when describing Boozer. |

You may not be the only one (although the post below may have been in jest)
LINK: Lakers claim Tarik Black, waive Xavier Henry (page 3)

It's Tarik Blake br0. You guys are all spelling it wrong, you're thinking of Steve Black. |
Hmmm, but then maybe yours is in jest too

Gotta love the small centers in today's NBA. The Point Guards are getting big while the Centers are shrinking. |

The fact the Lakers already have Hill, Davis, Boozer and Sacre leads me to believe either Hill, Davis or Sacre will be dealt at the deadline, unless Black is a dud. Sacre for 2 second rounds picks works for me. |
