You may not be the only one (although the post below may have been in jest)
LINK: Lakers claim Tarik Black, waive Xavier Henry (page 3)

It's Tarik Blake br0. You guys are all spelling it wrong, you're thinking of Steve Black. |
Hmmm, but then maybe yours is in jest too
..... was the a clue? |
i don't leave clues... i leak intel.
I'm just joking... but seriouslly, i didn't know Steve changed his name to Tarik? |

Sounds like the kind of player who will get rewarded with a 20 game stretch of starting for the Lakers. |

Hopefully he could be our hustle/garbageman type of player for us. Limited offensively but a great defender. I can see a Leon Powe like type of game |

I don't care about his scoring, but if he can be the rim protector and defensive player that Hill is not, I think we have a chance to be a much better team with him starting in place of Hill. |

Leon powe didn't play much defense. He was a scorer who would get on a hot scoring streak. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Yeah.... I diff see some similarities between Tarik Black and AC Green both have a neck for the ball and tend to hustle most of the time. |

Don't expect to see him start instead of Hill. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Well my hope is that Hill gets traded...in which case, I would think he would take over for Hill.
If Hill is still here, then I hope he takes some playing time away from him. |

But you go after the ball one level less than someone who has a head for the ball? |

Kind of a catch 22, Hill needs minutes so he can be showcased, but you also want to see what Black can do. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

You're right. I guess my point is that I would gladly take better defense from the position than extra offense that Hill might be able to give at the cost of being the horrible defensive liability that he is. |

The 2nd highlight makes it seem he'll be a solid pick and roll option for Lin with the bench. Which means no more Sacre!!! |

I'd laugh if Black ended up with the starters with Davis and always was taken out when Lin came in just like Davis is. |

I am still shocked that Morey released him if he had a trade worked out as was reported. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

And of course, that guy just misses out to a guy with a nose for the ball. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel |
