Well, he had a really good view of a lot of OKC's offensive boards. |

His height will always be an issue, his heart, hustle and determination are not. |

Small ball with Nance almost lost us the game last night, he had no answer for Adams and the Lakers couldn't buy a rebound. But Nance is young, he can improve. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

you can't play small ball crap with guys like Adams/LMA/clippers big when the team is so young. it works for warriors because D Green is a defensive beast. LMA still torches him.
need to put bigger body down there |

No question. He overachieves for his size. It's still a problem against teams with size.
It boils down to paint vs PnR defense when you choose between bigs. Luke prefers PnR defense, so we're going to see some paint defense issues. |

We definitely could use another 7 footer (better than Sacre, of course). |

The last thing we needed at the end of the game was a parade to the foul line for the Thunder. Zubac will get there, he just isn't ready at this time. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

I agree, I don't want the kid getting 4th Q minutes except in blowouts (which would still be more valuable than D-League games), but 8-10 minutes to spell Mozgov against bigger teams wouldn't hurt the team's short-term goals anywhere enough to offset the medium-term benefit of Zu's development.
But I trust the coaching staff, and I expect Zu to get a few minutes later in the season. |

Tarik Black Says Lakers ‘Sacrifice For Each Other’ This Season
Quote: | “We give ourselves up for each other,” Black said. “We sacrifice for each other. You can see it on the court: open man gets the shot. We play defense for each other. You can see it on our team: We smile together, we laugh together. Man, we love each other in this locker room. We have a really good team. We have a really tight-knit group. That’s what it’s about, sacrificing for each other and putting selfishness to the side and [focusing on] what’s better for the team.” |

Overall our defense is not good. It's going to take time and effort for it to improve across the board. |

Thanks man, good to hear. Man they're quick to do thoses things. I guess if he was missing time that would mean Zubac would get some. Definately a different type of contribution, Black and Nance brought that hustle to the 2nd unit. |

Tarik Black Will Not Travel With Team For Wednesday’s Game vs. Rockets
Quote: | The Los Angeles Lakers received some more bad news during Monday’s game, as another key player, center Tarik Black, went down with an injury during their game against the Utah Jazz. Black left the game in the third quarter after rolling his ankle and did not return as he was diagnosed with a sprained right ankle. |
