Tarik got 28 second-team votes for the NBA all-rookie teams. Out of all rookies, he was #12 in total points. Not bad for an un-drafted, wavied rook!

He should have made 2nd team over freaking Galloway.

HERE IS YOUR REMINDER THAT ROBERT SACRE HAS A PLAYER AHEAD OF HIM ON THE DEPTH CHART

I am fully on board on the Tarik Black train.

Let him get 20+mpg off the bench next year at C and PF and watch his overall skill continue to improve.

Then he'll be a restricted F.A. next summer and we can decide on the future then.

He added so much to his game as the season progressed. He even started hitting the mid-range jumpshot near the end.

I'm not saying he's bad but I hope Upshaw is signed and ahead of Tarik Black

Love his mobility and humility. Can't stand J Hill as a starter and Sacre is our designated cheerleader.

Tarik Black is pretty damn good. I'm happy we got him.

I have zero problems giving him the starting center job. At least until Upshaw stops being a knucklehead and utilizes his talent.

I hope not. Certainly like what Black brings to the court. A great energy guy from the bench for 20mpg. But not a starter.

His perfect role is as a Steven Adams or Big Baby type role player.

Lakers need a solid legitimate 7 footer to start. Prefer a Koufos vet for this year.. Or perhaps develop a Aldrich, Zeller or even a long shot Upshaw for the future.

I know we mentioned this before but Tarik looks a lot bigger than the last time we saw him last season. 0_0

I don't know why I have this feeling, but I always thought Tarik has greater impact than Ed. He is certainly more exciting

Tarik Black Feels ‘Much More Comfortable’ This Season

Quote:
With Black making an impression last season, the undrafted rookie has the opportunity to play a major role on this squad moving forward. Black will help fill the void left by Ed Davis and Jordan Hill while sharing time with Brandon Bass, Julius Randle, Roy Hibbert and Robert Sacre in the frontcourt.
