Saw Nash today at Equinox gym in Manhattan Beach. She looks like he is in amazing shape...doing box jumps, kettle ball swings. The nerve this guy has to flaunt that he is "fine" in public in LA. Sad part is, no one cares!
Can anyone explain why he isn't at least required to travel with the team and help with practice?? It blows my mind. Guy works out daily and parties in Manhattan Beach. |

Pretty sure looking fine and in NBA shape are 2 different things. |

Nash has been called the best teammate ever. The consummate professional. The best team supporter.....yet, he has totally gone MIA.
Something must have gone south with his not playing this year and management. Like Mitch and Jim said you are not welcome.
Nothing else explains this....at least support your team, show up at practice, help out the young guys. Anything.
For $9 million dollars...you should do something to support the lakers, right??!
Like I said, I don't get it. |

Never said I believe he is in NBA shape where he could play 30 minutes a night. But if he can workout the way he was working out today, he can undoubtedly travel with the team and assist with practice. |

Maybe it's an insurance issue and the Lakers don't want him around lest the insurance company refuse to pay for part of Nash's salary.
Then again, if I were with the insurance company, I'd send private investigators to show he is able to play or physically be present in violation of the insurance policy (whatever the fine print is). _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Nash would play if he could play. Working out, playing golf, etc., is not like playing an NBA game. If you recall, he had back issues in Phoenix 10 years ago. It just got worse. |

I think it's a wink-wink from both the FO/Nash.
FO gets the DPE + insurance $ for him; Nash gets a $10m vacation. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

yeah, really strange how things went down. but he's still keeping in touch with guys on the team, though. would be curious to see if things come to light after the season.
my guess is - nash got hurt but wanted to keep playing and thought he could play. vitti says no, FO says no, and scott says no (no, you're coming off the bench for price!). but he wouldn't retire, so decided to just leave the team.

Exactly, Nash did everything he could to get back out on the court. But his body just won't allow it. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Nash has never claimed that he is unable to be physically active.
He said he can play sports and even pick up games.
It's after the rigors of some real games that his nerves start acting up.
But as long as he doesn't push himself so much that his nerves start going crazy, he can be extremely athletic and active. |

Serena Winters@SerenaWinters·4 mins4 minutes ago
When I asked Kupchak about Steve Nash, he said he has actually been around & meets w/ Kupchak for breakfast once a month.
Mitch Kupchak said Steve Nash has already agreed & said he's "more than willing" to help younger players. (Said he may have already started)

More re: Steve Nash, Kupchak said Nash isn't going to go out "and advertise that he's doing it." _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |
