if the lakers are tankers they are surely doing a great job of fooling everyone because it really looks like they are trying to win games.

You can say that Kobe went shot crazy...but the question is, who did you want to take those shots in his place?

Someone not shooting 1 for 20? I mean, at least run some plays to get him open instead of chucking straight up.

He made a pretty amazing three to get them the chance to tie....I didn't like his decision making at the end, he could have gotten a better three out of a timeout....but out of all the players on the floor, who should have shot the three. Are you saying you'd rather have Price shoot it? Or Kelly? How about Wes?

Yes, Kobe was crummy tonight, his shot is FUBAR, but those tough shots under duress are his bailiwick.

Nick should have been out there for the close...but Byron kept him out. Even with his poor shooting, I'd still call him a viable second option to take the shot.

Who shot them for Miami? not Bosh so much. Chalmers. Chalmers did damage by penetrating and finishing. The guy that can penetrate and finish for the Lakers was on the bench.

The Lin-skateers will follow him to his next team, yeah?

Anyway, sounds like I'm glad I missed this one.

Is it so wrong to be a fan of a player? I was a laker fan before I was a Lin fan. To be honest though, this is not Laker basketball we are watching :/

TDRock, whats up mang?! You and them other should stop throwing the red herring into these conversations. We were talking about the winnable game tonight. JLin and the bench was leading the charge. BS a stop to it, we lost... so we're venting. If you can't add to it, why try to change the conversation, like "I can't wait to get rid of these Lin fans, but I like the guy." Its getting old. Fans of Lin or not, we were talking about how we could have won this one. JLin was a factor.

Four assists for Lin absolutely blown by Nick and Boozer too. Sigh. First thing Ronnie does when he gets back in the game is throw the ball away. Sigh.

Complaining about Lin's limited minutes in this game is completely justified. I won't be surprised if DB makes mention of it in his thoughts on this game.

If Ellington got traded.... then it's probably for some cheap low draft pick.... but I would hate to see one of the consistent shooters on this team traded without getting a replacement.

I agree. But take that up with Byron. I'm just working with the lineup that was put out there.

Ultimately, Byron killed our momentum when he subbed out Lin for Price.

That can be the only possible reason byron did what he did tonight.

elllington is getting traded. i'd be surprised if he isn't. going from 40min to DNP?

lin, on the other hand, wasted a timeout cuz he got himself trapped and timeouts, as you know from earlier in the season, are the most precious things to scott second to ronnie price so of course he was pissed.

There's nothing misleading about what I wrote in response to that ONE particular poster. I was quite clear. Don't want my comment to detract from the overall conversation? Stop bringing it back up.

Everyone one else on the floor has a higher shooting avg, so I would go with the rest of the team.

Hey, I'm Kobe's biggest fan. Not hating at all, but he did start shooting like it was his last game there late. But overall, I agree....who else is gonna take/make them?!

Kobe went 3-19 for 15%
Boozer was the only person that shot worse tonight at 1-8

So, pretty much every other player on the team would have been a better choice.

And to be fair, Booze has been shooting well. This off not was the exception. Kobe sadly has had a lot of these types of nights.

Lin was actually 3/6. He threw a 3/4 ball at the buzzer.

Tonight was a suck-fest. Next game may be a bigger one. Don't wanna hear about Love and K Irving, both of them aren't winning players. It takes more than talent to be a winning player.

swaggy missing shots also not helping, there were a lot of times if his shot had been on lakers would have probably gone up by about 4 instead of 4-5 point swings off of many of the shots he missed when the bench was getting it close. i hope he finds his shot.
