i just got a bleacher report on my phone saying clippers will acquire austin rivers in a 3-team trade with suns and celtics.

clippers get rivers

suns get reggie bullock

celtics get shavlik randoloph

EDIT: Jordan Farmar will be waived by the clippers, making room for austin and possibly Nate Robinson

Here's hoping he follows Steve Alford's model of nepotism by putting the entire offense on his son's shoulders so we can watch the team and its chemistry crash and burn.

So, Austin Rivers can get whooped (dad)/benched (coach)/waived (GM) by his dad. Pretty interesting nepotistic play going on here. They ate Farmar's contract, traded away a decent SF in Bullock and coughed up a pick so that Austin could be with daddy.

Nice when your the coach and GM. Don't understand this move either. Clippers already have Reddick and Crawford at SG and they just waived their backup PG. Granted, Farmar wasn't making anyone forget Collison but why replace him with another shooter?

when i posted this i wasn't aware that they will be waiving Farmar and it also looks like they will be trying to bring in Nate Robinson.

That Arash guy was on the radio ripping doc rivers. lolz.

I hope they never have anything to show for basketball reasons.

Jesus, shouldn't the Suns focus on acquiring other players aside from guards?

There's always undersized front court players that can't rebound for them to grab

Hilarious but true...its sad to watch UCLA basketball crash and burn because the coach's son needs playing time.

Worst thing that Rivers did was declare for the NBA after his one and only disastrous year at Duke...they lost to Lehigh University in the Tournament.
He is a player who could've used a lot more college ball before leaving for the NBA.

Probably just realized that his favorite team the Clippers are going nowhere and this solidifies it.

This trade is such BS.

1. Austin Rivers SUCKS.
2. The Clippers have no need for him
3. Dad is the coach / gm?

Doc knew his son was out his way to the D-League or China and decided to make an unnecessary trade for him to save his career. Nepotism. Handling family business on company time.

Plus they waive Farmar, a much better guard, for this clown? Lol okay Clipps.

I bet most of you would do the same thing if you were in the same situation/position.

But from the outside it does look wrong. But its the clippers...
