Does Sacre even net a 2nd rounder if he was on the trading block?

Trading Sacre for a 2nd rounder is a lateral move unless that 2nd is packaged into another trade

I just wanted to see if he could even net a 2nd rounder...I think he's staying on the roster; he could still be a filler in a larger trade...

SACRE BLUE

It's amazing how Black continues to be described by sports writers (like in this article) and commentators as being 6-11, regardless of the fact that he himself has said numerous times that he's 6-9....

For the right team (any playoff team who would be upgraded to any extent by adding him) SURE he'd "net a 2nd rounder", imho....

Sac had 7 pts & 7 rbs last night in 26 minutes
He still shoots too many jumpers

Sacre -- -- Sacre also got the start. His offensive issues hurt as our bigs looked a bit inept to start the game. We were in the hole early as a result. Some good screens set by Sacre tonight, better than he’s done previously. Maybe Tarik’s influence after taking Robert’s minutes. Sounds like Tarik may be closer to return, so that probably puts Sacre back in the DNP area when that happens, but Scott said Black was still questionable for the next one. Sacre on battling Dwight: “It’s going to be a very physical game…a very, very physical game.” The Stats: He scored 7 points on 2-8 shooting (3-4 from the line) to go with 7 boards (4 offensive) The Action: He airballed a turnaround jumper on iso after we dumped the ball to him early in the set. He missed an open jumper off the two-man game. He hit a short turnaround in the lane out of a timeout. He missed a jump-hook too far away. He iso’d and missed the turnaround. He grabbed the miss off the Clarkson penetration and powered up the layup. Second Half: He crashed the glass and regained possession on a foul. Not close on an elbow jumper. No touch on a putback attempt. He drew FTs getting fouled while posting up.

That's because he's officially listed as 6-11.

Worse. Hassan Whiteside was a YMCA player a couple months ago who would swat 10 out of 10 shots that Sacre puts up. Really though, why waste time trying to develop a stiff like Sacre whose ceiling is so low instead of looking for gems with more potential like Whiteside and Black

He get's paid the minimum and is a healthy 7 footer. We'll just bring him back next year to be the 3rd string C again with that dirt cheap team option. He's the least of our worries, we don't have any drastic cap problems or anything. I like that he continues to try to expand his game. I root for anyone that puts in the effort.

He will definitely be back at that price.

He tries, bless his heart, hes' just not very talented from an NBA perspective.

Agreed. He's a very limited player on offense and a mediocre rebounder, but he's a plus post defender, and seven footers who can play post defense have value even if they can't do anything else.

He is what he is--a cheap third-string center on a good team and a good bench guy.

When your team is on full mode, starting Kelly as your defensive stopper is not enough. Sacre is the best starting center we could ever ask for. Top 5 pick . Is Hassan Whiteside a UFA this summer?

Ohh man Kelly is a sitting duck when he's trying to play defense. poor guy is like a poor mans Andrea bargani no offense
I guess it Dosent matter , I'm in tank mode officially.
Let's pick up another high draft and try and sign 2-3 decent to good players

8 rebounds, 6 point decent game last night except for his matador defense which got him posterized by Gortat.

I'll say this about Rob Sacre.

He's BLESSED to be 7'0-260, because if he wasn't the last thing he'd be doing is playing in the NBA.
You can't teach height and size. Yeah he sucks, but he's our only legit 7 Footer and he should be more than proud to be on any NBA roster and I'm sure he is! He could get better, but it would take some serious hard work and dedication in the Gym.

Good Luck Sacre, rather you're a Laker or not, I'm pulling for you bro!

Gotta give Sacre his props tonight!

Bob played with more fire & determination tonight than I have ever seen from him. He played with purpose and finally showed a nasty streak.

He did not back down from the challenge of Gasol and the Bulls. Very good effort.

9 pts, 9 rbs and 2 big blocks

There is a reason why Sacre is getting more minutes then Davis or Black... they are trying to showcase him.... maybe attach Sacre with another player like Kelly or Ellington for a 1st round pick or a cheap prospect with nice potential.
