Brilliant tactician, but I'm tired of coaches who have glaring weaknesses in a certain area.

Mike Brown - Offense, Leadership qualities
Mike D'Antoni - Defense, Leadership qualities, System flexibility
Byron Scott - Offense, Defense, Stubbornness

Thibs - Player relations, Overworks team

ROFL! So basketball?

Hope Bull's do dump Thib ... and the Lakers pick him up. Great coach.

People here are complaining about Kobe being thrown under the bus by Byron and the extended minutes he "makes him play" (I never believed this was Scott´s decission, really, but let´s suppose it was for the sake of the argument) .

Thibs would keep Kobe on the court for absurd amouts of time, and furthermore, by no means he would let him skip practice.

REally? He's not doing that with Rose.

Tibs is a bad coach because he works the players to much? Gasol is being misused again, he has a coach that expects him to play defense. Looking back to 2011/2012 I see a frustrated PJ punching Gasol in the chest to try to get him to at least play hard. What has happened to players being self motivated?

Players like MJ, Magic and Bird loved beating your brains out, now the coaches are being to hard on the players???

lol @ naming 3 of the greatest players to ever play basketball and expecting every other player to have the same drive.

Thibs is an elite coach, but the criticism that he runs players into the ground is a legitimate one and it's discouraging that he won't budge from his position.

Pat Riley prospered by running his guys into the ground, both in terms of full speed practice and a demanding style of defense. He had rare levels of talent to burn, both here and at Miami, but not in New York. It can work, but the price, oh my, the price it bears on the ones who must run the most on defense:

- Jamaal Wilkes' body and will were worn out at age 32
- James Worthy's knees worn out at 31
- Dwayne Wade's knees work out at age 30
- Coop, well that freak of nature somehow endured

Rose had a freak injury, but Thib's injury rate throughout those Bulls rosters is a pretty hard stat-line to miss.

Lol.

Good man.

Sorry JB and Mike. I came back to my senses after I remembered the "Head of Snake" stuff.

My apologies

Wouldn't surprise me if that happens. Ballmer has deep pockets. Not to mention they aren't going anywhere unless there is a change of philosophy.

i know, and that could really help the clippers. damn it

I don't think so. Thib would never be an assistant again. After you were general, you don't go back to be a leutnant or captain. Anyway, Thib is any day of the week a better coach than Doc.

It's the regular contamination of any Gasol thread, by the same guy over and over again ...

He'd probably bench Rose for his personality being too passive

Lakers must figure out a way to get him if this indeed happens.

I'd prefer to get Fred Hoiberg, however I think the Bulls would too so that's probably unlikely. Offensively Scott and Thibs might be a wash.

Is Thibodeau basically what Mike Brown was supposed to be?
