Starters
Jordan Clarkson
Wayne Ellington
Ryan Kelly
Jordan Hill
Robert Sacre
This is what we'd call the "on the bubble" lineup.
This is the opportunity for guys to either gain minutes or get them taken. It also means that everyone in this lineup is in danger of losing their minutes.
This is a 'play well if you want more minutes' lineup. Nothing I'd expect Scott to stay with, he's literally taking the people in danger and saying "earn your minutes tonight and show me something"
For this reason I hope Clarkson does well and Sacre continues to suck.
it is all BS, it is tanking...man
Like any lineup was beating the Spurs if Pop decided to play them more than 25 minutes
Keep convincing yourself that the lineup the Lakers put out there tonight had a shot no matter what Byron did.
He saw the writing on the wall and had a 'show me something' game. Pretty easy to see. The guys who stepped up will get implemented more into things, those that fell back may lose their positions.

Out of everyone who played, I wonder who showed the least...
I think this allegedly open tank move was only fitting against the one team that recorded one of the most blatant tank jobs in league history - your truly San Antonio Spurs - and were rewarded with the No.1 pick which turned out to be the Big Fundamental.
Back in 1996, the Spurs ended the season 20-62. With a team that has been playing together a couple of seasons and had playoff tested veterans like Sean Elliott, Avery Johnson, Vinny del Negro, Charles Smith, Vernon Maxwell and Dominique Wilkins. Now, do not tell me that this is a 20 win team just because it's playing without David Robinson. In contrast to this year's Lakers, this team had chemistry and experience. THey blatantly tanked the season, and did it - drum roll - under the guidance of Gregg Popovich!!!
So maybe the Lakers and Scott just follow the Spurs blueprint and wind up with the next Tim Duncan in Okafor. That is why I do not at all think Byron is a bad coach. If the supposedly great Popovich cannot win with a well-oiled team of veterans, why do people expect Byron to do better with a newly assembled one with young players? Maybe the plan is to fool the system like it was in 96/97.
From the Guard standpoint; it puts Ronnie back at his natural position, Combo Guard. Starting, Ryan Kelly? Please, Showcase his ass. Hill moving back to PF, would be good for him. Letting ED recover a little; is what I am hoping. Bringing ED off the bench; means you will probably have to pay him more, come Summer. -- Hopefully, Boozer will want out.
Hopefully Tarik will start alongside Hill when he is healthy.
Hopefully Tarik will start next to Ed Davis after he returns and someone gives up a late first for Hill.
A late First Rounder for Jordan Hill? Keep Jordan.
Pay him 9 million next year to be a turnstile in the lane for ANOTHER torturous season?
NO THANK YOU
Trade him for anything, start Tarik and Davis and Kelly and see what they can do. We might need one of them to be a starter next year depending on how the draft and free agency goes. _________________ You are either in or on your way to the NBA Finals.

Jordan is worth more, than a late First Rounder. Jordan has a TO.
If Byron Scott truly wanted to instill confidence in Jordan Clarkson (saying he would start for 15 - 20 games no matter what), why didn't he wait until Knicks game to start Clarkson?:
