You could so tell that the Lakers were trying to tank this season, tonight's game punctuated it. The weird lineups and all. But look at the first part of the season, after they changed the first lineup, you know they wanted to tank. First of all, I will concede that I am a Lin fan, but come on, benching Boozer too?

If you bench Boozer and Lin for Price and Davis, clearly, winning is not in your best interest. What about the games that we were in the lead and the other team slowly chipped away. No time outs were called, no stress, just let the game be lost etc.

And for what? For that top 1-5 draft pick? Look at Wesley Johnson? How did that turn out? Greg Oden? Come on now. And how would we know the Lakers would be able to pick Kevin Durant in that draft class instead of Oden?

Meanwhile, you're ruining the other free agent's value. Take Boozer for example, is he going to get veteran's minimum after this season? What about Lin? He might have been able to get an 8 million to 10 million contract if he was allowed to play.

And worse of all, the fans have to endure a losing season after they paid for their league pass. The Lakers ought to be fined for this.

Wes Johnson being a bust had nothing to do with the Lakers nor did Greg Oden.
Wes Johnson was drafted by a guy who had no business being a GM of an NBA team.

Release the tank. Release.

I'm going to take a guess that you're a Lin stan. It's more important keeping the top 5 pick then winning meaningless games.

So they should fine the Sixers like 100 mil right?

Seriously though. I don't think Byron is tanking on purpose. He is that much of an idiot.

All I ask is that they at least try to win...that means putting the best guys on the roster out there to play.

Byron decided to not that tonight and quite frankly it was an embarrassment to this franchise.

He threw the game before it even started, and it makes me ashamed as a fan.

I would like him to resign as coach of the Los Angeles Lakers.

Uhm, the alternative explanation is that Clarkson has a future with this team, not Lin, right OP?

Byron said he was going to start Clarkson regardless of Kobe's playing status

That would be giving Byron too much credit. The sad reality is that he's a bad coach. He used Kobe more than he should because he was desperate to win. All the moves and line up changes you broke down were great moves in Byron's head.
