On the other hand, DRose with 30 shots, 28 points 1 assist and 11 turnovers. WTF happened to him? |

Jeremy Lin with another terrible game. |
Jeremy Lin did not have a terrible game. Scott did. Anyone who closes with Sacre isn't looking to win. |
Lin missed 4 shots tonight, but he played hard on defense and was running the offense well.
Lin should play the PG role when he's on the floor with Clarkson/Ellington. Those two love to shoot and are more fitted as SG. |
Scott is a jerk. Lin, Davis, Ellington and maybe Boozer and Clarkson should have finished this game. How is Hill and Sacre finishing it? |
Come to think of it, BS not letting Lin finish the game was a compliment to Lin's ability in closing games. He was worried that we might accidentally win the game. We all know how Lin tends to take over in the last few minutes of games. Can't have him keep going to the FT line . |

Injuries. He's up and down. I think sometimes, for a PG, Rose shoots too much. I can get with up to 21 shots, but 30? And only 1 assist. The TOs is just one of those games I guess. |

He tweaked his ankle in practice so they just sat him out
at first i thought it might be BS and they could have a trade in place but there is footage of him turning it in practice |

I think at the start of the game the commentator called him an ex-superstar or something like that . He's still playing like he's the only option on the team. |

Sprained ankle during practice. Hate to say it but the offense kinda flowed better without him. |

I do think Lin should have looked to drive more in the 4th quarter and get to the line like he did the last game. The team needed points, shots weren't falling, and he needed to penetrate. He should have finished the game. With Young out and the way Lin played in the 1st half once he found his rhythm, he should have finished.
And now Scott doesn't play Ronnie at all. OK. |

What happened to Ronnie Price though. I mean we only have 4 guards and he has a DNP-CD? After all the hyping done by Byron and Stu, there was no mention of him at all tonight. Byron hyped him up all season when we have a healthy guard rotation and now he's suddenly not good enough when we only have 4? Did FO talked to Byron or something? And now Tarik Black can't beat Sacre to get into the game? Head scratching decisions.

this next few weeks is about scott figuring out what he has, who to keep next year, who to stat pad for a trade, etc.
he know what he has in ronnie and i wouldn't be surprised for the lakers to extend an offer to him this summer as a backup or 3rd PG.
- hill on the trading block
- sacre is probably on the trading block
- lin may or may not be extended an offer
- ellington being evaluated and will most likely get an offer
scott is not trying to win. if he were, he would've played price, and i'm not being a smart a$$ about it. |

He was passing fine. Had 1/2 of the team's assists in 22 minutes. He also played hard on defense. The 4 TOs stick out like a sore thumb though.
I don't mind Ellington and Clarkson taking lots of shots tonight. Those were shots that Young would chuck up if he played. |

Because Scott wants him to get everyone else going. He said that Lin has to learn how o be a point guard. |

Actually, it was a feeble attempt on my part in trying to be a wise ass. It was a play on words only to implore to Lin to stop turning it over at any and all costs regardless of Scott.
I probably should have said something akin to, "Hey Lin...when you see those opportunities to turn it over, resist the urge and DON'T turn it over." |

I wouldn't say that this is a terrible game but it is definitely disappointing. I can live with the shot being off but 4 TO is bad no matter how you see it, especially most of them are due to bad passing. That's on him alone.
Although some of the infective might due to unclear role. When he plays with Ellington he's PG, when he plays with Clarkson he is SG although Clarkson is more like a SG than he is. His true strength lies not with pass first, but penetrate and create chaos for opposing defense thus draw fault or draw double team so the ball can be kicked out to open shooters. In a sense we have too many SG now but not enough PG.
As far as the game goes, we were only able to keep the lead the first half because Ellington and Clarkson were on fire. As soon as they cool down in the second half with no one else step up. Kelly/Sacre/Hill combine for 7/25 for the night as starters. I guess that's the winning formula for tank mode.
I do love the Lin/Davis combo though. Exciting to watch. |
