He really needs to work on his PnR defense. Usually you are 1/2 a step behind or going under but it looked like every time wall got a screen JC was stuck on the screen.
Offensively he had a pretty good game though he needs to be more efficient 18 points on 18 shots not exactly the best but its pretty good for a rookie. |
well the interviews made it really clear they are in development mode, having your rookie almost take the most shots is what it's all about.
I think he'll switch to sg, don't see much IQ at point, he definitely better than the other pg's on the team though, especially the one that plays soft and is scared to shoot all the time, seriously having a rookie take 4x more shots than you? |

There are millions ways for coach to manage.
Only a few ways to win; but most to lose.
I guess BS find out the ez majority of ways to tank the team.
Almost no point to talk about individual players at this Lakers.
Because BS did good at icing hot hands, and cheap closing line-up,
no one can be consistent.
Did you find out any consistent player so far? |

2 tank teams compete for loss. Should be interesting! _________________ "Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience." --Sarah Cook. |

Jeremy Lin with another terrible game. |
Jeremy Lin did not have a terrible game. Scott did. Anyone who closes with Sacre isn't looking to win. |
7 pts on 5 shots along with 8 assists, some very good, not just drop offs to JHill at the top of the key. He's the only PG that facilitates. Many times he made an extra pass just to try and get the team involved in ball movement. I think BS should have been creative and put JC, Lin, Ellington and Davis out there. Without Lin there is too much ISO. |

Lin missed 4 shots tonight, but he played hard on defense and was running the offense well.
Lin should play the PG role when he's on the floor with Clarkson/Ellington. Those two love to shoot and are more fitted as SG. |

He played fine man for 22 minutes. if you think he has a terrible game, you have not seen the game or think allowing Sacre to close the game, you must be an idiot like Scott. |

Since Kobe is out.
I can speak louder about PnR.
Good teams, bad teams in this league, most of them
play PnR.
Only very few of teams do not care or not use it as regular weapon,
such as Lakers, Knicks....
Therefore they are tanking.
This is the age of team Basketball! |

Scott is a jerk. Lin, Davis, Ellington and maybe Boozer and Clarkson should have finished this game. How is Hill and Sacre finishing it? |

Really? that whole thing about playing for a championship? What they need is a consultant, a HIGHLY PAID consultant. I could have told them they had no shot at the beginning of the season, they should have paid me a couple mil to tell them what was up before the season even started.
On another note... I hope, like seriously? this team wasn't built on some crazy Moneyball scheme where they ACTUALLY? thought this team would compete for a championship... |

Definitely have to disagree with the best pg on the team right now. Still think Lin is the best pg on the team but he was more passer than scorer this game. 1/5 for 7 pt and 8 assists is not bad at all on an off shooting night. Kinda wished he attacked the basket more or played more PnR with Davis but thats another story.
I will agree with you that JC is looking more like a sg than pg maybe something of a combo guard? |

So I tweeted a comment to Jeannie about the Lakers tanking... and I get retweeted by "Clippers Live".
This is what the season has come down to. |

Come on, Lin had an opportunity to close out the game, but he did not control and took over...and gave away three stupid turnovers... Had an excellent first half, terrible terrible second half... |

i thought mitch came out and said the GOAL is always to win a championship, i don't think he was saying he was expecting one this year. And i still don't think that they started the year with the midset of tanking. That is just what it has come to and its in the best interest to tank rather than try and win a few more games and lose the pick |
