Thibs is not happy and I think we should grab him if he leaves at the end of this season or trade to get him now. Even switch for Scott....sounds good to me.
But seriously do you think we'd let Scott go if Thibs is willing to come here?
Report: Tom Thibodeau's relationship with Bulls management deteriorating
The relationship between Chicago Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau and team management is believed to be "beyond repair" by several league personnel, reports K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune.
Despite the two seasons left on the four-year extension Thibodeau took several months to sign in the 2012-13 season, several league sources believe Thibodeau's relationship with management is beyond repair.
And while there are no plans to replace Thibodeau during the season, a mutual parting of the ways after this season wouldn't surprise many league personnel familiar with the deteriorating dynamic.

We would almost have to pick him up!
There is no one else available of his caliber. |

my first impression is that the bulls FO must really be nuts to mess this one up but who knows what going on behind the scenes.
If he does become available, i would really hope the Lakers give him a good look. It would be kind of cool to trade Byron for him and he can build the Lakers to be once again the dominant team in LA and overthrow that hack that is coaching the other LA team. |

If he becomes coach I wouldn't mind getting Okafor, can teach that guy some fundamental defense. |

The linked article said "In October 2012, Thibodeau and the Bulls agreed to a four-year contract extension". But if both sides are unhappy the 4 year contract could end a year early and/or a trade could be arranged. |

What if he wants significant input on drafting and roster composition? |

Grass is always greener on the other side.....
He's a great coach don't get me wrong and is better than who we have right now, but he has major flaws. He really doesn't have much of an offensive system (isn't that great at this) and more importantly 2) He runs his players into the ground. The second point absolutely makes no sense to me. |

Unfortunately I don't see the Lakers front office getting rid of Byron Scott ("Laker legend" and "culture changer") so fast. |

That sounds about right, but im think maybe we can do some kind of a trade where we send B. Scott or i guess fire Scott. Also, maybe the bulls will outright fire him or if Thibbs is unhappy maybe he just pulls a D'Antoni and resigns |

Good question....plus do they have enough guts to let Scott go already either now or after the season ends (better for the tank)? |

I don't think we let scott go now, he has to at least finish the season commanding the tank but if Thibbs is available at the end of the season, Lakers will have to think about pulling him now instead of after next season |

If Pau has been ok there then he obviously isn't running them that hard. |

I agree having Scott stay thru the season is best (for the tank & it's more respectful to Scott) but if the Bulls want to trade him now....is the tank worth losing out on him? |
