"I don't want to see the Lakers try to lose games...blablabla" Subtext: I want them to be mediocre for the rest of mankind's existence. Why is it okay for any other team to build through collecting high draft pickes, but not so much for the Lakers? This league and the people covering it are getting ridiculous (the latter actually are already).
Now what do they want the Lakers to do. We cannot trade for players (see Paul, Chris), cannot attract free agents anymore due to the CBA, and now we are not supposed to vie for a Top 5 pick? Those cowardly vultures really want to kick you when your down thanks to Stern, the CBA and injuries.
More and more I'm beginning to miss the 90s NBA, when fundamentally sound players graced the court and real basketball was played with back to the basket centers and less emphasis on 3 point shooting.
Sorry, just had to vent al little. |

If he'd played the 4th he may have gotten close to 30. But that's Byron's call. |

if you let players play and shoot, most any NBA player is going to score points. |

Gonna havta disagree with that. You still have to have enough talent and have good physical condition to be able to put up that stat line. Hopefully he can keep it up for the rest of the season.
I would agree if he was having inefficient games but 20 points on 6/14 shot isn't bad at all. |

You are probably right. The game was more or less Lakers chump city as a team, across the board. Shortly into the 3rd, it seemed that the Cavs had already decided that while Clarkson can/may score more, he would not be making any dents to the overall outcome of the game.
That probably would not have been much different had Clarkson played in the fourth. |
