He currently has a PER of 31.8. Wilt Chamberlain holds the record with a PER of 31.82 in 1962-1963. It's insane that Anthony Davis could break the record at 21 years old. He is our future basketball overlord.
While I think AD is special, a PER record? On top of PER being meaningless, they didn't track a lot of stats back in Wilt's era. It was a very different game.
Just like PER, KBPG is a random made up stat. It's "kobe bryant per game" - the amount of games where you are kobe bryant.
Kobe - 1280
Davis - 0
your move espn
or his record KPPG (Kobe points per game)

Yeah, he's sooooo having a better season than 44.8 PPG, shooting .528, and 24.3 RPG, (which was a tick better--I guess, at least PER-wise--than 50.4 PPG, shooting .504 and 25.7 RPG: 50 and 25!!!)
But of course, PER does some estimating for that period of time due to a lack of stats maintained. _________________ "A metronome keeps time by using a Ringo"

Davis is great but this is as ridiculous as Hollinger's piece about CP3 being the best PG ever because of PER. Move over Maj, Chris "Watch me lose by 58 points in the Playoffs at home" Paul is here.
Are we at the point where AD can be considered injury prone?
I love AD, but I'm just asking...
He does seem to have a lot of these minor things that seem to take him out for several weeks. That whole team is made of glass. Ryan Anderson and especially Jrue Holiday seem to have the same issues.

Yeah, have they had a completely healthy team at all this season?

And they didn't count blocks back then, that would have been another astronimical number. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.
