Michael Carter-Williams (2014 RoY) is traded from the Sixers to the Bucks, in a three team deal, for draft picks.

I can only imagine the horror Philly fans must feel with another further postponement of a realistic accumulation of talent. Oh wait, I'm a Laker fan. I think I know what they're going through.

Well, goes to show you how that 2014 draft class was a heaping pile of garbage. I know lots of 76ers fans who though MCW was overrated.

They are stockpiling and when the time is right, they will have tons of assets on rookie deals AND max cap space. That's pretty deadly.

The 76ers just don't know when to stop tanking.

Well, we'll have to wait another twenty years to see if there's any fans left who'd care by the time they figure it all out.

Philly should sell blank jerseys in their team store w/ Velcro names & numbers.

It's the only way to be sure the jersey you buy will be relevant in 6 months

Remember when the Sixers started the season 3-0 and were undefeated? Well, that seems so long ago...

His overall shooting is on par with a limping, aged Kobe. His 3 point shooting % is 25%. He turns the ball over 4.2 times a game. He's the lynchpin on two historically bad teams. What's there not to like?

It's addictive after a while....stockpiling picks and assets is the new game, not the one that's played on the court.

Unless they use all assets on proven super star talent, they won't be winning in the future and certainly aren't in the present.

The problem is, every guy who shows the slightest hint of realizing enough talent to accidentally win a game or two gets traded for more picks. For all their multiple years of tanking, what do they really have as assets right now?

I stated the same thing in another thread. You can keep trying to get picks, rinse and repeat but at a certain point, your roster needs to show something...anything. You're basically the pre-Stern cheating Clippers.

They could actually end up in great shape. Joel Embidd and Dario Saric could play for them next year and they could have potentially four first round picks this year.

They have a ton of cap space. So if a couple of their young guys pan out, that could attract a really good free agent or two. It wouldn't be shocking to see them do a complete turnaround by 2016.

They're trying to steal our pick and get two of the following players in the upcoming draft:

Okafor
Towns
Russell
WCS
Hezonja
Johnson
Mudiay

For anyone who missed it, here's a nice article on the Sixers' strategy:

Sixers are just collecting enough good draft picks to build a good basketball team...those guys aren't that bad, they are being held back by the front office on purpose until they get enough blue chip players to compete.
