In light of the recent blows to the tank, it can be easy to lose sight of the good things right in front of you. Namely, the rapid development of Clarkson, as seen by tonight's 22/4/3/2 game. While we likely won't have a Top 5 pick to pair with him if we keep up this pace of winning, it will surely be fun watching him and Randle grow together next year.

Props to Clarkson, you're the real deal!

The dunk heard 'round the world: http://www.thescore.com/news/708126

Exum won't be getting any Sexum tonight!

(this can probably be merged by tomorrow, but I thought it was important to clearly highlight Clarkson's performance amongst the other threads for now)

What happened to JUST-MING? This is where he would tell us how many 20 point games hes had in comparison to other rookies. Points per minute.

Anyway.

Clarkson is the one golden egg Mitch seems to always deliver each season. Let's not forget him snagging this pick then bragging about it either! I can't wait to see what Clarkson looks like after a real NBA off-season training regimen and some training to tighten that handle and 3pt shot.

I think we've finally home-grown a PG folks! (About time)

I noticed that tonight too. It was scaring me a few times till I noticed he's getting a bit lower with a bit more control. Off-season of some real work. Seriously do we finally have a PG? Since...what...NVE??

So if JC hits a game winner in a critical game for the tank will we (bleep) all over him or is he hands off for now? I have to make sure my righteous indignation is directed at the appropriate parties beforehand.

That aside, shame we couldn't see him and Randle together.

When I went to the Orlando game I told my friend I wasn't sure what to cheer for. We settled on Clarkson getting 20 and a game-winner would have been acceptable winning conditions. Or a close 2 minute game the rooks are actually involved in. I want THEM to learn how to win. Vets don't need it.

A Clarkson game winner would be an acceptable win in my book, because it would likely only happen in a game where he's putting up great numbers.

He outplayed Exum, which is great considering a lot of us had him high on our draft list.

Not until I've sided with every LG reaction faction it's not.

Yeah. I don't feel too bad for the Jazz though, they lucked out in their own way by snagging Gobert.

I'm impressed with how much Clarkson has developed from the start of the season until now. Didn't expect him to be this good this quickly.

I love his attitude and that he plays with a chip on his shoulder. He has outplayed Smart and Exum who were both drafted much higher than him.

If he keeps improving like he has been I think he may become our starting PG of the future.

The most impressive part about it is he's doing this with no talent around him. He's going to get a lot more better looks and more assists playing alongside Randle and Kobe.

Agree, and he already has great chemistry with Randle from the summer league. We really need to keep this top 5 pick so those 3 can develop together.

One legged fadeaway at :45 seconds. That's a Nash move

I dream of a Towns/Randle/Clarkson or Randle/Clarkson/Russell core...

which makes nights like this so painful
