Quote:
George Karl's first power move as Sacramento Kings coach was to trade for Andre Miller, a trusted old hand from his Denver days. Expect more of the same this summer. Sources say Karl would love to acquire Ty Lawson—if the rebuilding Nuggets were to make him available—or any other members of his last Nuggets team, which won 57 games in 2012-13. Karl wants players who move the ball and push the tempo, and that could mean wild upheaval on the Kings roster. Even DeMarcus Cousins, their franchise center, is not untouchable, according to a source with insight into Karl's thinking. "At the trade deadline, everyone was available," the person said. Including Cousins? "Every single person (on the Kings roster) was available." Although Karl does not hold a front office title, "he definitely has control" of future personnel decisions, the source said.

Um I will GLADLY take Cousins off their hands. He gets dinged up and has an attitude, but he has talent and produces. You don't just get a 24pt/12reb/2blk/3ast/1.5stl center available to you....at all. His shooting is down a bit and he turns it over some, but LA is the environment he needs, even if it takes Kobe slapping it into him in practice. I'd be interested to see what it would take to land him, he does have a contract in the 15-16 range the next few years.

It's been proven that Kobe isn't the right mentor for everyone. Howard was just childish, but Cousins takes it to another level.

I notice that winning hasn't followed Cousins wherever he's been but that locker room discord that he causes - has. We want that, and at some high price ? Noooooooo.

Like I said, it's an affordable deal in the range of 15-16/yr so he's worth the gamble as you'd still have a lot of room left with the new cap. Just think of who else you could put around Cousins. The big question is just how much you'd have to give up.

I want him, three way deal...

LAL/DEN/SAC

Sac receives: Ty Lawson, K. Faried, Kelly, HOU pick

Den receives: Stauskas, Collison, Top 5 pick,

Lakers receive: Cousins, Nelson

Karl gets what he want Ty, Faried, ,a player that fits his system (Kelly). Don't forget they have a nice lottery pick this year as well: WCS? Ty,Mclemore, Gay, Faried, WCS? That's a George Karl team

Den gets a bunch of assets for their two players, LA 2nd rounder. Have their own lottery pick: Porzingis? Mudiay/Stauskas/Chandler/Porzingis/Nurkic

LAL get Cousins, Nelson And have their 2nd rounders. Clarkson/Kobe/T.Harris/Randle/Cousins

Kentucky went 35-3 when cousins went there. That is pretty good.

He was way better than Karl Anthony Towns as well.

Locker room discord? When, where? His issues are on the court. By all accounts he's a good guy behind the scenes. As well the community.

A lot of players and moving pieces, but in this hypothetical, I'm fairly certain the Lakers would gladly move all their draft picks for Cousins.

Doubtful that George Karl would be thrilled to have Hill at $9 million next season.

Does Ed Davis want to go to Denver and does Denver want him?

Pre Lottery, the Lakers are picking at #4 and the Nuggets are picking at #8.

Doubtful that Denver would be interested in sending out both Lawson and and their Mid Lottery pick for the package that you have suggested.
