Lakers Interested In Baron Davis?

The reports cites the Clippers and Cavaliers as potential destinations, and also mentions the Lakers.

Davis, 35, last played in the NBA in the 2011-12 season for the New York Knicks, averaging 6.1 points, 4.7 assists and 20.5 minutes per game.

Over the past few years, Davis has flirted with an NBA comeback multiple times.

The 13-year NBA veteran played three seasons for the Warriors from 2005-2008 and will always be remembered for his role in the "We Believe" 2006-07 playoff team that defeated the top-seeded Dallas Mavericks in the first round of the playoffs.

Their season ended that year in the Western Conference semifinals with a 4-1 series loss to the Utah Jazz, but Davis's dunk on Andrei Kirilenko's remains the lasting image from the improbable playoff run.

Davis averaged 20.1 points and 8.1 assists in three-plus seasons with the Warriors.

Could be a valuable addition to the tank. If one of his teammates is playing too well Baron can eat them.

Need to develop Clarkson, sign Baron. That's logical.

And Baron know Byron's offense and game plan. He played under Byron in Cleveland. Byron wants to bring in more guys that knows the Princeton. This could be Baron's last chance to be a Laker since he wanted to be a Laker so bad in the past.

My post above yours would have been mine from 2008.

I hear Allen Iverson is ready to make his NBA comeback as well. We can have our own NBA version of the expendables.
