I am speculating but there might be a wink wink deal between laker brass and Mr. Silver to go ahead and win as many games and they will still get a top 3 pick

I am just speculating but do you think there might be a wink wink deal already agreed upon by Mr. Silver and the laker brass? Also this would also be a lesson for the NBA teams not to intentionally tank on purpose?

Just lol.

Yes cause a 16 win laker squad who wins more games at this point benefits adam silver and the league as a whole. Wink wink

Silver is a salesman whose only job is to open up new revenue streams. He doesn't run things in the way Stern had power.

You guys realize that there is no possible way for a conspiracy to happen, right? There is no "frozen envelopes" or picking the Lakers ping pong ball.

Get educated:

Fourteen ping-pong balls will be placed into a lottery machine, and a four-ball combination will decide which team earns the No. 1 pick. There are a total of 1,000 possible combinations.
#1 pick has 250 combinations (25.0% chance)
#2 pick has 199 combinations (19.9% chance)
#3 pick has 156 combinations (15.6% chance)
#4 pick has 104 combinations (10.4% chance)
#5 pick has 103 combinations (10.3% chance)
#6 pick has 63 combinations (6.3% chance)
#7 pick has 43 combinations (4.3% chance)
#8 pick has 28 combinations (2.8% chance)
#9 pick has 17 combinations (1.7% chance) <-------- Cleveland last year
#10 pick has 11 combinations (1.1% chance)
#11 pick has 8 combinations (0.8% chance)
#12 pick has 7 combinations (0.7% chance)
#13 pick has 6 combinations (0.6% chance)
#14 pick has 5 combinations (0.5% chance)

I feel bad for laughing

But really, if Silver does ANYTHING to tamper with the draft lottery, it'll be to screw us, not help us.

I do believe the NBA rigged the #1 pick for the Pelicans when Benson bought the team. This occured after the trade to get CP3 was nullified (either though we gave them a better deal than they ended up getting) when the league owned the team. The league will NEVER do anything to help us out despite the fact that the DUMB AZZ OWNERES have not realized they need us to be good.

Sad when fans actually believe this.

You think an entire League Organization would illegally hold under the table deals with another Franchise Organization? Smh.

9/11 was an inside job.
Government killed JFK.
Bin Laden was CIA.
ISIS is ran by our government.
Boston bombings were a false flag.
Next false flag is hoover dam busting.
Tupac is alive!!!

Those are some other things conspiracy theorists often believe.

1.7% outcome. Do you realize how small that probability is?

Or ever wonder about the unfathomable fact that since 1990, the team with the worst record has only won the lottery 3 times?

Code:

Team by record   # of wins (since 1990)
Worst rec   3
2nd-worst   4
3rd-worst   5
4th-worst   0
5th-worst   5
6th-worst   2
7th-worst   1
8th-worst   1
9th-worst   1
10th-worst   0
11th-worst   1
12th-worst   0
13th-worst   0
14th-worst   0

Empirically it's better to be 2nd worst or 3rd worst or 5th worst. 3rd and 5th have won the lottery the most times.

In terms of how probability should work, the histogram of results doesn't make sense.

And it was pure chance that Cavs got 3 #1 picks in the past 4 drafts, with wiggins fortuitously landing to them right before Lebron was a free agent.

I thought there was going to be a wink wink deal in this past draft but it didn't happen. Probably for the best too if we could somehow land KAT in this years draft.

Because the optimal way to increase popularity for this current season was to boost Cleveland as much as possible, hoping they will win the finals.
