Hope he doesn't pick the snarky dialogue options in his meeting with Mitch. |

Brown has been solid but he barely gets any opportunities out there. Maybe because he hasn't practiced that much and doesn't get open a lot? |

Scott said that in the post game interview yesterday. You and I took it differently. He said next year he'll belong in the league "with some team". That sounded to me like we aren't considering locking him up now...which we could do cheaply. |
Think you're the only one reading it like that. I see nothing but positive things. He's a keeper in my book, we'll see if the FO feels the same way. |
I do want to keep him! I wasn't happy when BS said that after yesterday's game. I hope the decision isn't up to BS anyway. |
What's with this every opportunity find fault with BS, all he's saying is that in his opinion the guy will stick in this league at some point. BS is not in a position to say anything about whether he gets signed, that's up the FO, so of course all BS will say is what he did....
.... it's more accurate to say that BS is telling the FO that in his opinion this guy will become a keeper so keep him in mind, I see nothing at all wrong with that.... It's like saying, you're in charge FO, but if you ask me this kid is a keeper, GET IT!!!
.... For somehow reach the conclusion that BS who has very little if any say in it is making it known that Brown will not be signed just because he said he'll make an impact in this league with some team is making up stuff up out of whole cloth.... BS has basically no say in it, so if you think about it all BS can say is what he did.... As I see it, if BS likes the player and says he'll make it on some team then he's also telling the FO that the Lakers could be that team depending upon what the FO decides.... _________________ Rule = win titles

I would like to see Jabari retained next season as maybe the back up SG. He has performed well, he has hit his shots and played decent defense. He will be inexpensive to keep too.
I like that he hasn't had that deer in the headlights reaction to being in the NBA. He has performed. The Lakers need someone who can hit the outside shot consistently. He needs more minutes to be developed just like Clarkson.
No need to keep Ellington, he isn't an upgrade over Brown. |

I agree. Plus Brown would serve the same purpose as Ellington behind Mamba, only cheaper... _________________ Lakers need to build a freaking team ! |

I got such a kick out of these excerpts from an article last year after Jabari & Jordan went off on Kentucky:
"For most of the second half, it was Brown killing the Cats. Missouri (16-5, 4-4 Southeastern Conference) unleashed a 20-7 run during a 7-minute stretch, highlighted by Brown’s ferocious dunk over 6-foot-9 freshman forward Julius Randle and a four-point play off a deep 3-pointer with 1:30 left.
Ahead by three with a minute to play, Kentucky turned to Randle, and the relentless post player connected with a hook shot in the lane. Then it was Clarkson’s turn. Brown’s running mate against Kentucky’s freshman backcourt needed only five seconds to race through the Wildcats for an easy basket, getting the Tigers back within a 3-pointer, 80-77." |

Draftexpress lists David Lee as Brown's agent. Maybe he will decide to return to LG if Brown signs on for next year. _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night. |

Lakers re-sign Jabari Brown to second 10-day contract
The Lakers re-signed Jabari Brown on Saturday, giving the rookie guard a second 10-day contract.
Brown, who originally went through training camp with the team but was cut before the regular season, was signed March 10 on an initial 10-day contract.
Through four appearances with the team, Brown averaged 7.0 points a game while shooting 57.9% from the field.
After his second $29,843 contract expires, following the Lakers' visit to the 76ers in Philadelphia on March 30, the team will either re-sign him for the remainder of the season or let him go to free agency.

Wouldnt mind la signing him through next year. Type of player you should give a chance to grow in your program. _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night. |

Yep...and also is a great fit with his best bud and college teammate JC! They ran that team together. |

Jabari is still doing pretty good. He needs to take minutes from Ellington. Even though it messed up the tank war, he made a nice pressure 3 last night.
I'm sure the chemistry between JC and JB wouldn't hurt. |

Brown has consistently scored seven points almost each game.
With a little more seasoning he could be a productive role player for us next season. He's definitely earned another camp invitation. |

i like how in control he is. he is surely undersized, doesnt really jump on the jumpshot, but he has been good. compare that to ellington who is flat out not giving a damn playing for a contract. i really dislike how selfish he has become. _________________ Kobe "I mean Phil's been here, and -- to be honest with you -- we might have, in all the years I've been with Phil, (had) maybe three defensive drills the entire time" |

22pts for the night. He's a keeper. Let ellington be a scrub on some other team and sign Brown. |
