His +/- is still positive even the team lost.
If he played more minutes, the game may be different. |

No the Lakers were getting manhandled inside and they needed some threes to drop. Lin playing extra minutes wouldn't have helped. |

This is normal which starters dig a hole, and benches bury it.

That is because he dared to play defense. I'd take Tarik Black over Sacre and Hill any time. |

Anyone remember who was guarding Wayne Ellington in fourth quarter of this game?
He looked like he was shooting well this game (except for the three point shot), but went 0 - 8 in fourth quarter:

(I am guessing he was guarded by Robertson first three quarters of game, but Robertson did not play in fourth quarter. Lin was matched up with Waiters earlier in game, so was it Jeremy Lamb?) |

Coach Scott stated that the OKC bigs outplayed our guys.

I think Tarik Black, as most recently acquired Laker, is just low man on the totem pole right now.
Seems like right now is Ryan Kelly's time to get heavy minutes and shot attempts, to try and get his game and shot untracked and let him go into off season feeling good about himself.
Ellington couldn't hit anything in pre-season, or much of start of season, but benefited greatly from becoming starter with lots of shot attempts.
Swaggy P I think they were trying to do same thing, but he has been unlucky with injuries (plus ball is really sticking when he is on court).
Black seemed like he was playing well when he was out there, so seems like he will get his chance once Ryan Kelly hopefully gets untracked with his own jump shot. IIRC, Black and Kelly looked really good as a defensive tandem protecting the rim when they were on court together and Kelly playing power forward (not small forward).
Plus, in order to hold onto that fourth worst record in NBA, this might not have been a game Lakers truly wanted to win, anyways!
