Is James Worthy being serious right now? The Lakers and Knicks have very similar records for a reason. He is acting like this was a big upset

Did anyone just hear Stu quit on a Laker game? I have never seen that from him... he was begging for the game to finish.... maybe he's finally had enough ... of the losing and wants the season to end..

Worthy has been full of BS.

Probably because of his love for BS.

He's always begging games to finish, over the years I can't count the number of times where he gets annoyed with last minute timeouts, free-throws, reviews -- he usually says he has a plane to catch, or some golf game to go to, or some other activity. He ought to look into retiring. All of those road games have taken a toll on him.

Don't get why fans are happy about this. Tank or no tank, that was pathetic. People are paying good money at Staples to want to have the team put in the best position to win the game. That didn't happen.

I'm just shocked that it came from him... he's the one who usually emphasises that the game never ends until the buzzer sounds... looks like Stu is throwing in the towel... maybe he can rest for the rest of the season and we can bring Mychal Thompson to do the commentating.

he has done that a lot of times. Even during preseason games. There were a few times when he thought they were off the air (live stream feed) and he talked crap about this year's team. He said he is tired of watching this team. That was around december 2014.

No doubt, Stu is miserable now. Still remember it just like yesterday when he first took over for Keith Erickson, he was actually enthusiastic and energetic. Time for him to hang it up.

When your part of the Lakers brand... your job is to pump up the volume .... when he says stuff like that on live... he just sounds like a quitter... I honestly wouldn't mind if Stu retires I think he's not really motivated to do his job anymore.

Fans pay good $? They pay good $ for a championship caliber team, not to see them compete with the Knicks. This is a great loss and I wish we lose every single game until the end of the year...I want the best draft position we can have. This is the price u pay for the ineptitude of the FO

To add insult to injury; we were SWEPT by the Knicks and still won't out-tank or catch them in the end. (double whammy)

Pfft, this roster is garbage. I wish the majority of fans would boycott games so it forces the Buss clan to never settle for trash players.

Well my prediction was wrong - Lakers couldn't handle that Eastern powerhouse known as the Knicks. 30th best team in the league. Yuppers.

May 19 can't come soon enough. That and the draft combine a few days earlier.
