I thought it was a no brainer at first but losing Avery Bradley ... not a good move
Yes. But isnt it actuallly Hayward and Morris vs Bradley and Olynyk?
I still dont think the Celtics are done making moves. I think Ainge is trying to build something bigger. _________________ SCHROEDER/CARUSO/COOK

Tatum looks better than Ingram already. Superior frame, athleticism and mentality.
Wait until he goes up against Kawhi or Giannis instead of fringe NBA talent. Any summer league assessment can be filed in the nearest trash bin when the season starts. You'll be in for a shock, as none of those things you mentioned are true.
Uh, does the same apply when Lonzo goes up against Marcus Smart or Tony Allen?
Hey ! Looks like the Celtics will make a run at the east this season. They
just pulled in Monroe and are in talks with Lou Williams. That is without mentioning they will soon be receiving a big time FA upon the Hayward
return.
Right now this "race" looks very much one sided as the Celts have
the pieces to compete for years to come. We are not even close
to having the right pieces and when we do, they will take a season
or two to learn to play together.
This is just my observation at this point, there is a lot to do in lala
land but the "race" is not looking good from the LA's perspective. _________________ Lakers need to build a freaking team !

Doesnt matter which team is better in the next 3-4 yrs. gsw will rule the nba. What matters is 5 yrs from now. Its a marathon.
This is the honest truth. Nothing matters unless they get the ring. These two franchises play for rings. A team can be better for 20 years but without the ring it doesn’t mean anything. GS will rule for the next 3-4 years. Sad but true.

I think Boston's awfully well-positioned to contend for championships for several years, starting right now. NOW.
I don't see the next several years as some do, that is, a set up for continuous GSW domination. More likely to happen ? The effects of the cumulative diminution of the key guys. We've seen their best; now comes the slide downwards.
It's true the Warriors are dialed-in, sure, but time has had a way of diminishing every player and squad. They stand one bad Curry ankle twist from another early playoff exit one year, one bumped Durant knee from slipping down a whole click forever in another, one Draymond contract dispute away from losing the banana who fits in the middle of everything they do. Hell, I've seen so many teams just lose out forever once some unexpected aged but key player (Iggy, Livingston) finally shows the accumulated slippage of year to year diminution. It will finally cost them and not that far into the future either. Looney is damaged; West is ancient. Zaza is sloppy with a possible replacement of Bell behind him. Boucher is pretty raw. McCaw carries the future for them two or three seasons hence in place of Iggy and Livingston. This won't last as long as many folks predict.
Nothing lasts long. _________________ “These GOAT discussions are fun distractions while sitting around waiting for the pizza to be served.”

Don't forget Hayward. I think they can take Cleveland any moment now. The West is another story for sure. However, the Celts put up a good battle now,
while they are still learning to play. I think next season they could be very dangerous even to the GSW. Celts seem too be 1 player away but they keep digging.
So, I agree these teams play for the rings and clearly the Celts have a solid
base to go into that hunt. With the Lakers we have a lot if IF's. IF Lonzo
learns to shoot, IF BI, Kuzma, etc can become consistent, IF we can get
a couple of top FA's. Bottom line we further away "today".
It's good to keep tabs on this thread every now and then, just to
see how we're doing. _________________ Lakers need to build a freaking team !

It's on like donkey kong. LA's still a much more desired destination than Boston. First Lebron, now AD, the LA magic is back! Foston can suck a big one. They will lose Kyrie and go back to becoming a lottery team while the Lakers stack on more rings. _________________ LeGoat! LeMazing! LeGend!
They had everything fallen in place perfectly, but they didnt cash in when they had the chance. Their star acquisitions also turned out bad (Kyrie will walk, Hayward is too expensive to what he brings). They still have good young pieces but it will take time until they are serious contenders _________________ 48 49 50 52 53 54 72 80 82

Oh how the tables have turned.
I’ve been waiting for a thread resurrection about all the stuff going down.
The Lakers get a key all star player. The dirty Cs about to lose two of theirs.
Bill Simmons and the other chowds going nuts with “assets.”
They went from ECF contenders to barely the playoffs and lottery potential. All because of a supposed advantage, their FO. Lol
