Yeah, but at least all the hype behind him was deserved. He was a beast physically and mentally. Not like these mental midget, over-hyped media creations we see today.

Jordan the player I admire. The mythology of Jordan can eat (bleep).

Recently saw this NPZ-style recap of NY at CHI, 1993 Gm 4. Btw, NPZ was the originator of the game recap in 05, all of YT copped my styles. Anyway, Mike worked poor Starks over in that one, Riley stuck it to him by keeping him in there all night. John was a proud man, maybe a little dumb, but proud. He had be in there and get scored over with impunity, 54 pts iirc. Towards the end, he had that look on his face of a hostage who had become accustomed to beatings to the point that he felt he must've somehow deserved it. In the final couple of minutes, Doc Rivers went at him and he got pump faked out of his shoes. Mike was zonin that night, even by his own standards. Almost every one of those shots is a fast flat arc that pings the back iron, one after another. Ay, I don't care if Kobe is this or that, or Magic is this or that, but Mike was a beautiful player in the purest sense, think nothing else but his play. Even his gate was graceful. Form and elevation were superb. Couldn't imagine how more popular he'd be in this era. Sometimes I dream that he is me, Dawg.
