I'm convinced the Sixers would have found a way to lose even if Lin and Hill didn't play well. |

Lakers starters all had positive +/- as well, so they would have won anyway most likely. Sixers are just more professional tankers than Lakers. |

They don't even need to hire Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels to make Dumb and Dumber 3... just splice together outtakes from this season and they have one ready made.
Giving a team your draft pick when all you have to do is to lose to them...
I have no words. |

I have no words. | On the other hand you know the Sixers weren't going to allow that to happen. It's like trying to beat a pig in mud wrestling.

Then we can tank again next year and hope to make bottom 3. |

I was giving Scott the benefit of the doubt this whole time, even thinking things like "how noble he is to sully his reputation just for this organization"... when in actuality he was trying to win all along. One of the stupidest things I've ever seen in the history of this franchise. |

Lin is the Laker fanbase's whipping boy, you don't say |
Lin has never been good when it matters, and never sucked when we need him to. He is not a whipping boy, he is the personification of what is wrong with the Lakers these last two seasons. |
That's not true. He has played well when it mattered. |

LOL...he played against a team whose front office is openly trying to lose as many games as possible by putting the worst on court talent possible.

Lin has a good game and the team win. Then the fans cry foul. Poor Lin, now just a whipping boy bad or good. While fans are sad the Lakers are sinking low as a proud team rich with history and pride, they should also hold up the dignity as fans of our proud franchise at a low cycle. Teams go through those cycles. Look at Boston and Detroit, our hated rivals in the past. They are going through a low cycle too. If we are doing well now and they are doing bad, and we see their fans cheering for team losses and cursing for wins, what do we think of them? One rookie will not decide the fate of this proud franchise. The FAs are more likely able to change the fate of this franchise much faster. We should pressure FO & Buss family to give us a good coach and some great FAs. If Kobe is the reason for FAs not able to come, then either bear with this one more year or just ask him to play the role of a playmaker like the game against Lebron with 17 assists. FAs will like that Kobe, not a ball dominant chucker. Great FAs can turn around franchise in no time. Houston didn't draft Harden & D12 or Ariza, Clippers didn't draft CP3 & Crawford or Redick, Atlanta didn't draft Milsap & Corver. The Lakers FO & ownership are the ones to be able to turn around the franchise, not Kobe, not Lin, surely not an unproven rookie. Why so harsh on Lin who is battling for a win of the team he represents against a weak team. It would be a total shame to deliberately lose to the lowly 76ers. It will be a total joke and will bring more mockery to this proud franchise.

Because this year, without Kobe and Randle, and now saggy, the Lakers have proven they can tank with the best of them right? |

Not much evidence to think Swaggy or Randle on the floor don't help us lose more games. And although I don't believe it...in this debate, it helps me, so some analysts have pointed out there is also evidence that Kobe on the court doesn't help us to win games much either. |
