pre-game
Quote: | Battle for the 3rd pick. I am guessing everyone wants a lost tonight. Doesn't matter to me as I am already set on us getting the 4th worst record. |
Quote: | I'm starting to hate the Lakers now. |
Quote: | the Lakers are tanking worse then the Sixers ever did
there is no way Sixers are losing this one |
Quote: | We need a loss in the worst way. I need Clarkson to prove to us why he should be ROY. He needs to go off for 40 tonight. |
Quote: | Is Jeremy Lin gonna sit out tonight, I assume he is if the Lakers gonna tank hard. |
Quote: | Yup we win again tonight. |
Quote: | We almost there.
NO point to win NOW. |
Quote: | I want Molly to interview Jeanie Buss at Halftime about how the Sixers are Tanking ! Disgrace to the league, yada, yada, yada. Go Sixers ! |
Quote: | This could be the most interesting/ vital game of the year. Go lakers
|
Quote: | it’s highly unlikely we lose to these (bleep) teams and everyone needs to accept that and have fun watching and make fun of how terrible the lakers and knicks are |
Quote: | Even if the Lakers beat us, they are going to finish the season with a worse record, IMO. We might as well just root for the 6ers, if you aren’t already. |
LG wrote: | Not watching this one. |

The anticipation for this one is killing me.
|
LG wrote: | WE. MUST. LOSE. |
LG wrote: | 76ers organization has no shame nor try to hide the fact they intentionally tank with trading all their good players away for nothing last year and doing it again this year.
This is a guaranteed Laker win. Lakers would never stoop so low as the embarrassing 76ers organization. |
LG wrote: | This is the biggest game of the year, we cant afford to win this game |
1st half
Quote: | Don't mind signing Lin next year if we can't get either Russell or Mudiay. |
Quote: | They really play Legend of Zelda orchestra music? Pretty bad ass actually. |
Quote: | how the **** do you airball a floater...TO THE SIDE OF THE BASKET |
Quote: | this game would be much more entertaining if artest was still around for nerlens to do battle with
|
Quote: | Even the employees are tanking
Bob Cooney @BobCooney76
Organist is playing the #Sixers fight song during a stop in action here at Staples. Kind of strange. |
Quote: | We are going to blow them out.
|
Quote: | hey remember that time nash put up like 25 on us….last year?
|
Quote: | Quote: | do they have anything to be excited about, this roster is awful. crispy corpse of kobe i suppose for those LA nutjobs. was never big on Randle, and even less so now after injury. top3 pick, but cant see anyone changing this team’s fortune. | they’ve resorted to believing jordan clarkson is a future star. |
Quote: | Lakers are clearly throwing this game.
|
Quote: | We’re gonna win, aren’t we?
|
Quote: | Quote: | Now the organist is playing the theme song from Zelda. He’s clearly hight
| And he seamlessly transitioned into the "Let’s go (insert team)" clap, clap, clap clap clap song. What a boss. |
Quote: | The lakers are terrible. How exactly are they going to turn it around in a year?
|
Quote: | Quote: | coaches are allowed to tweet during games??
| Lance Pearson @CoachLanceP
I've never heard of a team's organist playing a visiting team's theme song. #Lakers |
Quote: | I really don't think this Lakers team could beat Kentucky. |
Quote: | If we miss out on a PG there are far worse options than Lin |
Quote: | Man we really should not win this game
It would be ashame if we throw away the tank on this last few weeks |
Quote: | Up by 6 while shooting so (bleep). No way they can lose this game.
|
LG wrote: | ...this is like watching us play ourselves... |
LG wrote: | Sixers didn't even try to grab that rebound. |

LG wrote: | We can actually lose this game! |
LG wrote: | Game would be further away if Hill isn't shooting perfect |
LG wrote: | Anyone here that wants to lose this game....go light a candle at the link below. Don't laugh. I've done it for years and it really has worked most of the time!
It is free (you can donate but you don't have to). I started a group for us called "TANK" and every candle "lit" stays for 48 hours. I lit the first candle. It is easy.

20 candles lit so far from 8 countries!! |
2nd half
Quote: | Quote: | We will finish 4th but still win the lottery and get the #1 pick.
| We are Cleveland!? |
Quote: | Lakers also drop to #6 for their embarrassment of tanking on purpose per Jeannie Buss
|
Quote: | amazing that this lakers team can sell out staples vs sixers |
Quote: | ish is really cranking up the throttles on the tank, isn’t he? |
Quote: | Why is everyone else allowed to tank without scrutiny? |
Quote: | Quote: | futurama theme after the JaKarr miss lol. does JaKarr resemble anyone on Futurama?
| zoidberg |
Quote: | Jordan Hill or Michael Jordan? |
Quote: | nooooo nerlens better sit out the next month |
Quote: | I guess if you really tried to find something promising about the Lakers future…..I’d say Jordan Clarkson and Tarik Black are young and up start. Plus their lottery pick from last years draft, got hurt early achillies tendon snapped, |
Quote: | Lin is keeping them in this game. |
Quote: | Now the tank is finally starting to get rolling. *knocks on wood* |
Quote: | Lakers board calling for a Lin benching lol. |
Quote: | If Lin played one inch of defense he would actually be a pretty good NBA player
|
Quote: | lin’s getting benched for the rest of the season if they win this |
Quote: | Sixers and Lakers fans at the edge of their seats, watching the see-saw battle, hoping for a loss. |
Quote: | lakers announcers just said sixers have been in constant rebuilding the last three years………………………………. |
Quote: | Lakers got it in the bag. |
Quote: | nice, we might lose this one |
Quote: | Great lack of effort by our squad tonight. Proud moment. |
Quote: | Carlos Boozer might be the most detestable player in NBA history. He always takes the path of least resistance. |
Quote: | If we land a top 3 pick Hinkie should send Ed Davis a thank you card |
Quote: | Feels weird that I get excited when LA makes a shot |
Quote: | Lakers board imploding right now. |
Quote: | when Lakers get the 6th pick in the draft this loss will be so sweet |
Quote: | Felt good with the Sixers winning. Not feeling too bad right now. Really torn about what to feel. |
Quote: | We have to protect this deficit. |
Quote: | Quote: | Jeremy Lin lol actually enjoying this | he dgaf about the lakers picks
|
Quote: | Quote: | Quote: | Quote: | well, is losing good? | In terms of lottery pick standings, a loss to the Lakers is perfect. | no because it builds losing culture | Losing is great so long as you tried to win, and we tried. Too much Linsanity. Too much goodness. |
Quote: | Seen this picture before. Sixers gonna win if not careful. Lakers/Celtics are masters of last minute tank. |
Quote: | Lin may yield more future assets for the Sixers as a Laker than he ever could’ve done by trading for him last summer. |
Quote: | I would prefer to get #3 and #6 over #1 and nothing |
Quote: | Quote: | what are laker fans chanting? | my guess? we want tacos |
Quote: | Lin is DA MAN tonight. Doing everything for the Lakers and at the same time helping us. How can you not like him. |
Quote: | 4 – 13 since the trade
team scoring 6 points less a game

Laugh all you want. It isn't the candles fault when we have such a stupid HC that doesn't have the sense to tank.....leaves Hill in to kill it first half and Lin to cement the win. |

Sad when you can't tell which fan quote is for which team because both fan bases are saying all the same things . (Yes I realize LG are the bolded quotes)
This season cannot end soon enough. |
