It's just a question.
What if the Lakers hypothetically had the #4 and #8 pick?
Would you want a combination of lottery picks?
Or do you want to stick it out with Randle?
I'm not denying Randle's talent by any means. He was my favorite of last year's draft.
I just want to see what everyone's input is. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

Nope Julius randle could've easily gone and was supposed to go top 3 if not top 5 in last years draft way too much untapped potential to just trade for a top 10 pick. Also for this years draft i feel like the talent drop from picks 6 and lower are pretty big. |

Who is projected to be available at #8? If you have a list (probably you're shooting for Dunn? ), we can compare with Randle.
I'm inclined to keep Randle. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Nothing around 8th comes close to Randle in terms of potential, I'll pass. _________________ Ringo "You retired too?"

The draft is unpredictable. Someone rises. Someone slips. It's rare to even get the Top 5 right.
No one saw Aaron Gordon at #4. The Lakers were fortunate to have Randle slip.
I'm thinking that player could be WCS, Hezonja, .. and yes, I want Kris Dunn.
The idea of landing Russell and WCS in the same draft is intriguing.
Or even WCS and Dunn/Hezonja
Winslow/WCS... _________________ Resident Car Nut.

I'd take Randle over anyone in this draft not named Okafor or Towns. |

Depends on who would be available.
Also, I'd rather ship Randle & Clarkson for Westbrook. _________________ #11/08/16 America became GREAT again

I might. But I'm not brave enough to make a thread about it.
LG loves us some Randle.
There are people who wouldn't trade Randle for Kevin Durant, let alone a pick (top 10 or otherwise). _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

I wouldn't and neither would the Lakers FO. With the exception of Okafor, Randle has more upside then anyone in this draft. If Randle was on Kentucky this year, Towns or WCS would be coming off the bench and both are projected top 5 picks. |

I would probably exchange Randle and the current pick (4th or 5th) to move up to get Okafor. The dropoff after him and Towns is that significant IMO. |

Easy to say after development from the Laker organization. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

Disagree with more upside than anyone in the draft. | Of course you do otherwise you wouldn't have made this poll. Randle is a physical specimen, no way would I trade him for a top 10 pick. |

Once again, disagree he's a physical specimen.
When I think of a physical specimen, it's guys like Vince Carter, KG, Dwight Howard, ... even WCS.
Randle is not on the same plane as those guys in terms of size/athleticism combined. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

Easy to say after development from the Laker organization. | It's not, some players don't have the work ethic or mentality that Randle has to become great. I like Towns and have him #2, but he's still a 3 year project and doesn't have the skillset and power that Randle has. |

Randle is treated like a little Laker baby around here. Highest draft pick since Worthy. Right now he is still wearing diapers and is so adoreable. I like this kids character, personality and apparent work ethic. But the jury is still out on him. He has already had foot and leg injuries at a young age. He could end up being a bust. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

This is tough, because how highly WCS and Winslow are rated on here, most mocks I see have them going in that 6-9 range. So to pick up say Winslow/Okafor or WCS/Russell would be pretty darn intriguing.
I'd wait till draft day and see if someone slips. |

I'd only rate Towns and Okafor over Randle in this draft. So no I wouldn't trade him for a #8 pick. |

Not to split hairs, but I remember you liking several players more than Randle last year, including Exum, Gordon, & (I believe) Smart. |

What it Randle's best skill on the NBA level? It's not post-play from what I've seen, nor as a stretch shooter although that's something that could be learned but seems doubtful. Finishing on the pick and roll? Face up iso's? Ballhandling and setting up teammates (this is the one i would lean towards). He's a hard player to read. |

Randle is 6'9 250 lbs, has the quickness of a SF, power of some centers, and the ball handling of a guard. The last two players that had those physical attributes were Lebron and Barkley. He's a physical specimen. |
