So, who is the best SF Kobe ever played with?

Not sure if we can add Eddie Jones since when they play together Kobe played as SF.

For me it is Artest.

No love for Walton?

Glen Rice had the best career.

Fox. Was exactly the kind of mentor and teammate Kobe needed.

As far as his time as a Laker it's gotta be Fox. (followed by the Riza)

Ron Ron was a pit-bull on D for a little while but his Offense outside of game 7 vs the Septics was atrocious for the most part.

Rice wasn't exactly a great fit and was passed his prime. He was our rich man's George (Mccloud not Devean).

So to recap I got

1) Fox
2) Ariza
3) Artest
4) Rice
5) D. George

I chose Artest, but that championship team with Ariza was one of my favorites. Maybe the longest team we've ever had.

honorable mention: Matt Barnes

shame he could never stay healthy as a Laker. He was an enforcer for Kobe, similar to Artest.

Best overall player? Glen Rice. The guy averaged 20+ points here I believe.

I think best player for the team? Trevor Ariza. What a stupid thing to let him go. One of the best kind of role players you could have and was still really young. Yeah getting Artest was good too obviously but it was basicslly Artest for one year left in his prime vs Ariza who was as good at the time for almost a decade worth of great play.

In 2000 when the Lakers won the championship Rice started in 80 games that year and averaged 32 min, 16 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists. 3 point % was 37%.

Ariza hasn't been any good since he left the Lakers.

I don't see how you can say we missed a decade of great play when the guy at his best was a role player.

He was never a star. At his best Ariza was a fringe starter.

I do think we still could've beat Boston in 2010 with him because Pierce had lost a huge step from 2008 to that series, but I don't see how letting a role player who's struggled mightily since he left LA was a huge mistake.

I never liked Barnes... Tbh he's pesky defensively but offensively he's very inconsistent and misses a lot of lay ups.

He's no where near the best SF.

IMO it was 09 Ariza

Glen Rice was instrumental in that first championship in the early 00s. All he did was join Shaq/Kobe and average 17ppg as the third option, while obviously providing the floor spacing they needed.
