Very good question because 4 of them have a good case and each has a reason why not.

Rice didn't seem to fit with Kobe as much as he did with Shaq, and I don't think the Lakers win in 2010 with Ariza on Pierce.

I take Artest slightly over Fox. Fox was more steady as a whole, but Ron's top game was pitched higher.

Artest sucked, even in 2010. I don't know why everyone likes him so much. No shooting ability and slow defensively. He was living off of his past reputation at that point.

I think Artest was the best, but I loved Kobe and Ariza.

I would say Artest then a tie between Ariza and the Fox for his savvy.

I believe Artest did a fine job on Durant. Plus didnt he have a putback game winner? The NBA finals he was good.

Ariza was the best. Artest was a top 20 player for a 5 year stretch, but he fell off quickly and was never a good shooter.

Best fit? Ariza.
Best individual talent? Caron Butler or Glen Rice

The only reason we were in that position to begin with was because he jacked up a horrendous three pointer when we could have just run out the shotclock.

Ariza would have played a similar level of defense on Durant and Pierce.

Fox represented Kobe's big brother/mentor.

Kobe was the same for ariza. really wished we could have kept ariza. Miss him a lot.

Ariza. Fit perfectly next to Bryant.

Glen Rice. A great shooter who was very critical for that first championship. Never a good fit for the Phil's system, but still - a great player and by far the best SF among all others listed.

Artest. Game 7 vs the Celtics is greater than anything Fox or Ariza ever did as Lakers, and Artest's impact on the defensive end was greater than Ariza's and we likely don't beat Boston without him.

Artest unquestionably.

Fox. He could hit the 3, defend the best perimeter player, and he actually was the tough guy that Artest pretended to be.

People forget that about Fox. But the clincher for me is the mentorship he gave to Kobe during the Shaq/Kobe feud. Fox was an important buffer b/w the two.

And dude married an in-her-prime Vanessa Williams. (drops the mic).

Artest was horrible before game 7. Of course we're all appreciative for his game 7 performance, but the truth is that we should have ended the series much sooner than we did, especially since the games were close. In the losses in games 2 and 5, he was 1/10 (3/8 from the line) and 2/9 (1/4 from the line), respectively.

His entry passes into the post were phenomenal as well.

Not sure if that was a sexual innuendo. If so, brilliant.

We don't like him we love him because without Ron we don't win the 2010 title.

Forget the regular season just thank back to the playoffs.

He held Kevin Durant to a miserable shooting series and still we barely beat them of a Gasol tip in in game 6.

Where would we have been if we didn't have someone to make life miserable for Durant like Artest?

Against Phoenix he had that put back at the buzzer off Kobe's airball. Without that the game goes into overtime and Phoenix would've had all the momentum after their huge comeback.

In the next game he had 27 points and really was the only player who showed up offensively other than Kobe. Pau had 9 points and Lamar like the rest of the road games in that series was a no show.

His defense in the Finals was superb on Pierce who really only got off in game 5. In Game 7 when Kobe and Pau were struggling mightily it was Artest who kept us afloat with 20 points including the mega clutch three in the final minute.
