The seedings are almost decided, time for the annual LG NBA playoff pool. Let us see who is the best at picking winners this year. Same rules as before, entries have to be posted here before the first playoff game. Pick the winners and the number of games you expect each series to go. Scoring will be as follows:
First round
Correctly guessing the winning team of each playoff series will get you 5 points. The number of games you guess the series will go will be subtracted from that total if you are incorrect.
Example: I pick the Spurs over the Griz in 4 games, but the Spurs win in 5. My score would be 4 (5-1).
Second round
Same scoring system, only a correct pick is worth 8 points (minus any variance in how many games the series goes).
Conference finals
Same scoring system, only a correct pick is worth 12 points (minus any variance in how many games the series goes).
Finals
Same scoring system, only a correct pick is worth 15 points (minus any variance in how many games the series goes).
The points from each round are added up and the highest total wins. Remember that you have to complete the entire bracket before the playoffs start, from round 1 through the Finals. Check back and I will post the playoff matchups after the season has concluded. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.

Should we include the rule that all participants have to acknowledge the winner in their signatures for the entire next year? _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

Thanks for jumping in everyone, I was stuck in 3 days of client meetings in Orlando. And thanks to United Airlines, it took me a day and a half to get home from there.
One thing that I like to do is to average the picks from LG and to also use the picks by the lunkerheads on ESPN. It isn't exactly apples to apples, since they pick each series as it happens, not in advance.
First Round
East
Hawks over Nets in 7
Cavs over Celtics in 5
Bulls over Bucks in 6
Wizards over Raptors in 6
West
Warriors over Pelicans in 4
Rockets over Mavs in 7
Spurs over Clippers in 7
Grizzlies over Blazers in 6
2nd Round
East
Wizards over Hawks in 6
Cavs over Bulls in 5
West
Warriors over Grizzlies in 6
Spurs over Rockets in 6
Conference Finals
Cavs over Wizards in 6
Spurs over Warriors in 7
Finals
Cavs over Spurs in 7 _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.

I get that it's scary to predict a sweep but how do the Celtics take a game off the Cavs? I am legitimately curious how that happens.
LeBron takes a night off. Stevens coaches his ass off. Celtics go back in Game 3 - want to avoid being embarrassed. Go up early w/home crowd & a little ref lovin'. LeBron turns it on, but too late. Celtics win a close game. Get trounced in game 4/5.
Classic tale. We've seen it before. I think it's a coin flip though - sweep or in 5, pretty equal chances to me.
