Demarcus Cousins trade rumors are heating up. Randle is my favorite player on the team and he appears to be the total opposite of Cousins in terms of character/attitude but we would have to seriously consider such a trade. Cousins is under contract at a soon to be very reasonable 16 million per year and is arguably the best offensive center in the game. I actually would give Sac their pick of Clarkson or the 4th pick. As a team with a new owner, gm and coach they could almost rebuild their team from scratch with such a trade. Vlade might envision Randle as a Chris Webber type and they could round out their roster with players such as Hinozsa, who is an athletic version of Peja Stojakovic.

I voted no. That's giving too much and I'm not confident enough that scott would be able to develop a scheme to maximize his talents. We would have to get at least a lower pick back imo so that we could draft tyus jones. *edit: oops I thought clarkson would be part of the deal*

Of course. But why would Sacto (assuming 4/28 picks)?

#4 and Randle should be enough but prefer Randle, Clarkson, #20 something for Cousins.

I'd trade Randle, Clarkson and those late picks for him. But our lotto pick this season, I would not. I want that Cousins/WCS frontcourt. That's a championship frontcourt if WCS is the defensive player we think he'll be.

I would not trade Randle for Cousins period. I don't even want his offense on the team.

Tough call. But yeah, I would probably do it. I don't really like Cousins, and I like Randle a lot, but I don't think he or the pick will ever be as good as Cousins. Generally, whichever team gets the best player in a trade comes out ahead. Would rather give up Clarkson than Randle or the pick, though.

I'm sorry, misread the title. No to Randle/4 and 28.

Another scenario if they didn't go for Randle/Clarkson and #28. If we land the #1 or #2 pick and they are able to get WCS wherever they land, offer Randle, Clarkson and whoever they want at the #1 or #2 for Cousins/WCS.

Well of course, he's better than two players that have not entered the league yet but, I think Okafor will be a better post player than him and I think Towns will be a better perimeter player than him.

its hard to trade a guy that we don't know about. Same thing we did with Marc Gasol. Now that trade got us 2 ships, so I'm not complaining. But know what DMC ceiling is, we do not know Randle's. Plus Randle doesn't seem to have attitude problems!

The same way you space Duncan/Splitter.

Cousins can not only knock down the midrange, but he can also faceup handle, and WCS has shown some signs of a 15 footer than could be developed. I don't think spacing would be an issue.

I'm just happy our FO and Scott has turned Clarkson into an asset that could land us Cousins or equivalent (when packaged with another asset)..

Are you kidding me?

Sacramento would do that in a heart beat. They won't get a better offer than that, but the Lakers aren't doing that trade.
