|
|
Since it's the offseason thought it'd be fun to take a stab at what we think the starting rotation will be next season. You can include minutes and how they'll be distributed if you want. Here's mine.
Jordan Clarkson (28), Jeremy Lin (20), Ronnie Price.
Kobe Bryant (20) DeAngelo Russell (20), Jabari Brown (8).
Rondae Jefferson (24), Nick Young (16), Kobe Bryant (8).
Julius Randle (28), Ryan Kelly (15), Tarik Black (5).
DeAndre Jordan (35), Tarik Black (13), Robert Sacre.
Most people don't see Jordan leaving the Clippers, but if they have another early playoff exit which they likely will lost in the first round to the Spurs I don't see them breaking the bank for a guy like DJ when they already have Blake and Chris taking up huge chunks of the salary cap. |

Jordan Clarkson (20) - Corey Joesph (28)
Kobe Bryant (24) - Jordan Clarkson (14) - Jabari Brown (10)
Justice Winslow (20) - Nick Young (16) - Kobe (8)- Rondae Hollis Jefferson (4)
Ryan Kelly (20) - Julius Randle ( 22) - Tarik Black (4)
DeAndre Jordan (36) - Tarik Black (8) - Robert Upshaw (4)
I feel Ryan Kelly fits perfect next to Jordan as they compliment each other. Randle will be a reserve until he grows into the starter.
I see us draft Winslow, Hollis Jefferson, and Upshaw. I love Winslow and Hollis Jefferson. If we Get both our perimeter D will be elite For years to come.
I see us signing Deandre Jordan and Corey Joesph.
Joesph will be more a primary PG than JC but Clarkson will start but play more SG along Joesph. |

If Randle can't beat out Kelly we're (bleep).
He's a backup 4, nothing more. Too much of a defensive and rebounding liability to start. |

Eventually he may be the starter as the season goes on but he's coming off an injury... I see Kelly really improving IMO and will be a solid role guy especially playing alongside Jordan who compliments his lack of defense and rebounding.
If Randle and Kelly are our only PF I see Kelly starting opening night. It's going to take awhile for Randle to get to his potential. He's young |

Clarkson(34)/Dunn(14)
Kobe(28)/Clarkson(4)/Young(16)
Winslow/(28)Young(10)/ Luwawu(10)
Randle(30)/Kelly(18)/
DJ(35)/Davis(10)/Black(3)
Very complete team imo. Lacks shooting in the starting line, but could mix around a few players. Could be an 8th seed if everything goes right, I say they just miss the playoffs?
or
Russell(14)/Clarkson(34)
Kobe(28)/Russell(14)/Young(6)
Green(30)/J. Anderson(15)/Young(2)
Randle(30)/Kelly(18)/J. Mickey
Koufas(25)/Davis(15)/Black(8)
I don't think this team at it's highest potential makes the playoffs but solid building blocks of Clarkson, Russell, Green, Anderson, Randle and Koufas as a backup center. The perimeter is sowed up for years to come.
or
Clarkson(34)/J. Linn(14)
Kobe(28)/Young(14)/Luwawu(8)
Green(30)/J. Anderson(15)/Young(3)
Randle(30)/Kelly(16)/Black(2)
Chandler(25)/Towns(18)/Black(5)
Probably the team I like the most, and an 8th seed if everything goes right. You got Chandler to usher in Towns. Green and Anderson are very similar players, would love to get these guys this offseason. I would bring Linn back here to give some spark to that second unit, and some sort of veteran. I could see Linn/Young/Anderson/Kelly/Towns being a really good bench unit?
I would take any of the three.

I'll take J. Anderson over RHJ every day of the week and twice on Sundays. Anderson is a ball player and an athlete, RHJ is just an athlete imo. |

I'm not high on RHJ either, but God if someone could teach that kid how to shoot. He'd be a realllly good player. I get the "not a basketball player" thing, but he's actually a solid ball handler now - he just has issues shooting, issues with his shoulders/arms. Like a big man who lifted too much weights n didn't work out his shot |
