What's the deal with this guy? I enjoy LeBron's game, but come on, show off your dunking ability for once.

I think LeBron feels the same. That is the real reason he is not joining. But if he wants to be mentioned with Jordone and Kobe he will need to win at least one.

Yep, you're all right.

Lebron entering it and not winning = bad image. So he's probably not joining it for self-image. The fans don't matter here.. haha.

The more times he does things like this, such as not participating out of fear of failure, the more I see him as lacking "it" to be an all-time great. Magic, Bird, MJ, Kobe...they all had NO fear of failure from Day 1. They had the quiet confidence that they would and could NOT lose...at anything.

-Declines invitation to dunk contest previous 2 years, when the competition was significant (Jason Richardson and D-Mase, Josh Smith and JR Smith)

-Misses game-tying FT versus Lakers

-LeBron passes off the OPEN, potential game-winning 3 against Den

-Nearly AIRBALLS a FT against Indy in the waning moments with his team up 2-3 points

Dude just don't have "it". A great player, but not on the level that people CLAIM him to be. And the media is beginning to un with his lack of ability to "close". Even SAS was on his case Monday on Quite Frankly.

LeBron is probably the leagues best LIVE game dunker, ok maybe tied with VC, but like bambam said, this dude has no creativity, and this dude would lose.

Man they should just settle who the best dunker is. Put Kobe, VC, T-Mac, LBJ, and Jason Richardson in it. I'm tired of watching these nobodys in the dunk contest.
