Opened this weekend. Please check it out if you can.
Not a big Sci-Fi guy, but I loved the cinematography and the psychological aspects to it. If you liked Blade Runner, then you might enjoy this
With essentially 4 people in the entire movie (one whom didn't even speak), I was always entertained. It didn't hurt that the movie starred Oscar Issac and Alicia Vikander |

I saw it yesterday and was somewhat disappointed. My expectations were too high after reading positive reviews. The pacing was very slow, which is not bad in itself, but the suspense was lacking. The plot was too predictable. I kept waiting for something to happen, and when it finally did, my thought was, "so what?" The cinematography was beautiful though. |

Liked it a lot. Expected the slower pace to tie in with the cinematography. Plot was a touch predictable, but also well executed. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

Good movie with some very strong performances. The girl playing Ava was incredible and very nuanced. |

Just watched it. It was slow paced but it was engaging throughout. The end though, ish went bad real fast. |

Thought it should have ended 30 seconds earlier. The score was just right as she goes through that opening door.
Quite good movie nonetheless. _________________ Kobe |

I enjoyed it. I had no idea what to expect, and it was very engaging.
I'm slow and naive when it comes to movies so the plot twists caught me off guard to some extent, but they definitely added to the experience. _________________ ...in my opinion. |

really liked the movie. i didn't think the plot was too predictable other than the inevitable outcome. how they get there (including motivations/manipulation) is what made it great in my mind. i am slightly biased since i'm a software engineer. however, i was pleasantly surprised to find that a lot of the CS references (including the code) are accurate. i was not sure why the guy was using the sieve of eratosthenes to generate primes in that one part. can someone illuminate that for me? why did he need prime numbers? |

that code, when compiled in python, gives the ISBN number of a cognitive psychology book
it was masked with stuff like prime numbers to make it not obvious _________________ Kobe |

Spoiler Alert Don't read my post unless you've seen the movie.
I think it's ironic that the robot was being test for artificial intelligence. Something thought to be possessed by humans and not robots.
By the end of the movie, the robot manipulated the human emotions of the other characters to serve her purpose.
Maybe she developed artificial intelligence in the sense of reading and reacting to her environment instantaneously. But her actions were performed "robotically" (without emotion). _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |
