Wes is always the whipping boy around these parts. People expect Scottie but let Wes be Wes. The past two years teams have been horrible, and Wes has even be first option at some points. Wesley is what he is, a solid role player on a good team. He can shoot, can bring D, and super athletic. On better team like the Hawks or Wizards he would thrive like Otter Porter or D Carroll. If Lakers are lucky to add Towns or Mudiay, Wes can be a great asset. |

Wes is too inconsistent and bone headed to be a solid role player. He has the tools, which makes it so frustrating |

LOL, no, not undervalued.
He's nothing special, does no one thing very well. He's just kind of there. |

I hope you're right. I had such high hopes for him coming out of Syracuse, and then I was hoping his game might blossom after he escaped the wrath of Kahn and the Timberwolves ...
I don't know if he can do it ... but I hope so. There have been some flashes, but damn if they don't seem too few and far between ... |

Wesley was surrounded by lousy players.
Put in with this lineup
C Towns
PF Randle
SF Wesley
SG Kobe
PG Clarkson
doesn't need to create offense, just do all the dirty work. Wesley has never been on a good team! Last year with all the injuries Wesley had to play outside his game |

He's too much of a liability to start. I'm fine with him off the bench for 12-14 mpg at the vet's minimum. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

We've been saying the same things/hopes about him for 3 years. He is what he is. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Dude is a bum.
Seriously why do some people here have a thing for players that have no bussiness in the league anymore? First it was Sacre, than the "Ryan Kelly is a victim" thread, than the Rondo thread, and now "Is Wes Johnson undervalued"?
No. If anything, him being here for as long as he was was overvaluing him if anything. The guy is pure trash. _________________ Darvin Scam: https://media.tenor.com/images/3c15249955860a4b16b59e8ae035fb75/tenor.gif |

He lacks the bball iq to be the player he should be. An Ariza type player. Its probably too late for him cause you cant really develop the smarts for the game, you either have it or not. Decent bench player for the minimum though |

There has been nothing to show that Wes can contribute positively on a nightly basis. He's a 9th-12th guy on the bench player. If Wesley Johnson is your starting SF, you are not a good team. |

So if he's a bum why is he still in the league? Are you telling me you're a better talent evaluator than the Lakers, Suns, and Timberwolves?
Ill trust them over some dude on the Internet.
I found it funny how many people act like theyre basketball experts and yet they're simply posters on a forum. |

So if we had Clarkson at the point, Kobe at the 2, Randle at the 4, and Gasol or Jordan at the 5 you still think we aren't a good team? |

Lol at wes being undervalued. Only value for him is the end bench or d league. Sacre looked smarter on court . And that's not good company to be compared to. |
