That was Pryor's heyday. That and The Toy. I guess once you've lit yourself on fire and survived, nothing really matters anymore. _________________ GOAT MAGIC REEL

Saw that as a kid as well. That was a sea of unruly kids in that theater, it looked like the theater full of Gremlins, throwing sh, stomping their feet, I remember that vividly. I don't think the adult nerds were as present as they seem to be for Star Wars stuff today. _________________ GOAT MAGIC REEL

Haha. Did you wanna puke when he had a line of decrepit old ladies that he was banging in the back room? I laughed at the part where his dad was eating hummus from his eyeglasses at dinner, can't lie. |
I saw it once in 2008 and never rewatched it, so there are only two things I remember about it. First is that I hated it and second is that I remember John Turturro having a prominent role in it. I guess they can't all be winners, eh John? |

Speaking of Sandler "movies"... Little Nicky was probably when I lost all hope. What a complete pos that was. _________________ "Dread it, run from it... destiny arrives all the same." |

I have no clue how my nomination has not been mentioned once in over 3 pages of this thread.
I can only pray it's because each of you are far too blessed to have been victimized by this colossal reel of llama dung because, unlike in my case, nobody ever suggested watching it at your family get together.

Bruno is another one.
I thought Borat was hilarious but the follow-up was so bad I couldn't watch more than 5 mins of it. |

The focus group for Bruno's dance/interview show was hilarious. That had me in tears. The Harrison Ford part was classic Harrison. The scene where he was setting up the room to f Ron Paul was funny too. Ron just kept looking at Bruno through his peripheral vision. The rest was ungodly. It was harsher than seeing SBC getting swamped by Azamat Bagatov's open undercarriage in Borat. Everyone was abhorred by that part. They practically showed inside there. Azamat's open ass is the portal to Hell if there such a thing. _________________ GOAT MAGIC REEL

Wicker Man
Season of the Witch - this is the one move I wasn't able to watch. I sat through every other awful movie I've seen and found something I enjoyed. This movie was just dreadful

Anyone with a ladyfriend has been dragged through some stinkers. Mine enjoys all of the Nicholas Sparks crap. Every single one of them. Chick flicks are the worst, by far. Did you know there are even Tyler Perry chick flicks? It becomes difficult to measure degree the closer you get to the bottom. _________________ http://chickhearn.ytmnd.com/

Speaking of chick flicks, I watched I Am Number 4 thinking it was gonna be a cool action movie when it ended up being a terrible chick flick |

Cheech and Chong's Corsican Brothers, my brother and I struggled through the movie and when it was over we asked each other why we watched the whole thing.
Biggest Disappointments
Dark Knight Rises
Inception (it came after The Dark Knight and my expectations were too high)
Matrix 2 & 3
Back to the Future 2
Return of the Jedi, second half
J.J. Abrams Star Trek
I have also only seen the original Star Wars trilogy and have been told by many that I'm doing the right thing not watching any of the newer ones |
That's a great list. I know it's blasphemy but The Dark Knight should be added to that last as well. Yeah, the one with Heath Ledger that everyone claims is so awesome. It was incredibly predictable the entire way through. I kept looking at my watch wondering when it would end. |

A few of my favorite oldies, courtesy of channel 9 (KHJ TV, which played the cheesiest low-budget movies):
Dondi (saccharine, precocious war orphan who is easy to hate)
Santa Claus Conquers the Martians (humorless, exploitation comedy)
Honorable mention: Plan 9, though the unintentional humor actually makes it entertaining. Dondi and Santa Claus are more irritating than the Barney the singing dinosaur.
Modern disasters: Wicker Man (was there a screenwriter's strike?), Beer in Hell (vacuous vanity project and the lighting makes it look like it was shot in a neighbor's basement), Phantom Menace (I walked out; Return of the Jedi was bad enough. Lucas is dead to me), and Battlefield Earth (I wanted to see if it was bad enough to be entertaining. It wasn't).
Recent weekend PPV flop: The Gambler. Terrible ending. I missed the motivation behind the redemption; it was either left on the cutting room floor or the leads simply lacked chemistry. Probably both as the acting was lousy. Having the mobsters rub out Mark Wahlberg would have been more satisfying. |

Now that I think of it, why isn't M. Night Shyamallalalal not dominating this thread?
Lady in the Water
The Happening
The Last Airbender
After Earth
This guy has become an institution for bad movies. I'll always respect him for The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable, but damn he's gone off the rails lately. |
