You really should have the top 3 pick in the lottery to get a game changer and they were unable to get one. Now, they are not in good shape, I don't think.

Nope. Both are laughing their way to the bank. No sympathy for Knicks who have messed up for decades now despite being in the biggest market.

Nope. They will still get an excellent player, have tons of cap space and hopefully a healthier Melo. They'll be fine. Oh and they're in the East.

No because if they were to get something higher than #4 it would have been at our expense.

Russell Westbrook was drafted #4 behind Michael Beasley and OJ Mayo. Chris Paul was drafted #4 behind Deron Williams and Marvin Williams.

If you think there is some guarantee in drafting in the top 3, you're deluding yourself.

These guys have made and continue to make so much money that I'm not going to feel sorry for them over something like this.

Hell no.

Phil ripped apart the team in a deliberate attempt to tank the season. They'll still end up with a decent player.

I'd gladly trade Randle for the #4 pick and use to draft DeAngelo Russell.

Sign Kevin Love to be the PF.

PG - Russell
G - Kobe
C - Okafor
F - XYZ
PF - Love

Hell no

We put up with his below average guard skills, why would I want to see him or Phil get back to winning before us?

There's no guarantee the 76ers pass up Russell with their third pick.

Nah, it was their plan to dismantle and tank it's just they didn't win. I feel the same as if they would have won, though it's annoying that NY was such a huge storyline for the lottery.

It's a rough spot for them because a top 3 would have given you a triangle friendly player. Porzingis may have the best upside, but does NY have the patience for a year or two of strengthening him and limited minutes? Mudiay doesn't fit the triangle, so they'll have to hope for someone to really love him or a WCS to trade up to secure them.

Actually with Mini and us getting the first two picks, we may have made things easier on Philly. They have plenty of big men, not a lot of shooters or good playmakers. They should draft either Russell or Winslow.

Knicks will still get a good player, just not the center(s) they wanted.
Either PG's could be just as good or impact changing as the two centers in this years draft, but I guess its moot when you have Melo on the Knicks...
A blue chip center would've been a better player to compliment the Knicks alongside Melo since they wouldn't take the ball out of either one's hands.

east is so weak, I COULD see knicks getting a top 3 seed soon..
draft mudiay, sign marc gasol... ties to phil and calderon

C
Gasol
PF
Bargs, Aldrich
SF
Melo, Early
SG
Hardaway, Galloway
PG
Mudiay, Calderon

If Mudiay is a star that is one of the better teams in the east.

Look at the bright side:

This "helps" ensure the Knicks get a high draft pick next season..!

I am glade this happened most to MELO, who toyed with signing with the Lakers and cannot save the Knicks mess...

I think this is good for the league, because it will serve as a lesson to teams who think it's a good idea to just dump your team and tank

Dude, I would have felt way sorrier for the Lakers if it was them!!

You are wasting your energy worrying about the wrong people.

And I think Randle will be a much better NBA player than Russell. As for the thread, no, why would I feel bad, I am not a Knicks fan.
