Let see....
Drafts Randle
Drafts Jordan Clarkson (Nba ALL ROOKIE)
Nabs a 1st round pick for Lin
Gets the number 2 pick in the draft.
Potential
Clarkson
Kobe
(Insert)
Randle
Okafor/Towns
With KD becoming a free agent
Btw, Clarkson, Randle and 2015 pick are on rookie contracts.
That will leave us money to sign a Free agent.
Shall we sing his praises or give the credit to Mitch? |

Knock it off!
And I never tell the mods to close a thread, but this is ridiculous! You don't credit someone for making a team so bad that you end up with high draft picks! |

What? He gets blamed for things that are beyond his control, so why not give him credit for things that are beyond his control? |

The tools are there for rebuilding. A max spot this offseason, a couple next offseason. This is the most excited I have been about the team since 2009. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

You do if tanking was the object, and it works. |

Yet how many "Blame/Fire Jim Buss" threads would have popped up had we lost the pick...? |

What? He gets blamed for things that are beyond his control, so why not give him credit for things that are beyond his control? |
It's a free country, you're entitled to do what you like. But I'd rather be rooting for my team in the playoffs right now as opposed to chasing ping-pong balls. I subscribe to Jerry West's philosophy that being in the lottery is a sign of failure. |

No no no, something good happened so that means Mitch gets all the credit. When something bad happens, Jim is obviously to blame. Its just science! _________________ *sighs*

Probably alot, but I wouldn't have been blaming him. I blame him for us sucking so bad that we have nothing to root for but the lottery. Jimbo doesn't deserve credit or blame for what pick we get. It's just luck, or the basketball Gods as a previous poster said. |

It was inevitable to have a few bad seasons to shed contracts and retain picks. To be on the up and up with loads of flexibility in short order is worthy of praise. |

Any ownership that signs off on bidding 3.5million for Boozer and paying Hill $9,000,000 deserves to have a lot of questions asked. _________________ You are either in or on your way to the NBA Finals. |

Getting Clarkson really sped up the rebuilding process, if we can luck into another solid contributor at 27 or 34, we're well on our way, all these young players and still enough cap room for 2 max player this summer and next, the future is bright indeed. _________________ Ringo "You retired too?"

I'm fine with this thread. You can't blame everything on him when things go wrong, and when they go right, you can't say "Jim had nothing to do with that."
I still know how involved he is with making these decisions, but I like our position now. |

Great day for sure, but this thread is a bit premature. We just lucked into the 2nd pick in the draft. The report card for the FO shouldn't be out until the end of the offseason.

This team takes you nowhere even if you (Insert) Lebron there. Be realistic, people!
