Harrison Barnes? Where did that come from? How the hell do you expect we get him?
The Warriors save a lot of money if they get the Lakers 27th / 34th pick..... they need to pay Green his max money.... I think it's a possible scenario.

Any chance there's a falling-out between Kawhi Leonard and Popovich and we somehow get him with the max? _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

Sure it's a possible scenario. A possible scenario is also we signing Anthony Davis next summer and the Pelicans refusing to match. Heck another possible scenario is LeBron opting out and signing with us this summer. Want me to go on with super pipe dreams?
We don't know what will happen during free agency. Anything big is probably a pipe dream especially with restricted FA's.
I don't see us making the playoffs. Look at the teams this year. OKC actually didn't make it in. If OKC was healthy all 8 teams would have won 50+ games. The Pelicans who are a good team and will only get better are lucky to have made it with 45 wins. Pelicans had their share of injuries as well they could have won 50 games.
Its too bad we have this East/West system were horrible teams make the playoffs in the East only to get swept like the Celtics. While OKC sat at home.

Barnes is having another really good postseason. he's looking like an integral part.
It is way too early to ask this question. There are so many moves to be made. We are definitely on the right track though.
There are 2 teams to keep an eye on out West. If LMA leaves Portland, and Wes Mathews is not the same player after his injury, Portland surely becomes vulnerable of missing the playoffs. The next team would be the Mavericks. They're just an old team, and Dirk looks finished. So can the Lakers squeak in? well its too early to tell. But if they happen to draft Okafor, who is more NBA ready IMO than Towns, and are able to steal a player like Jimmy Butler, then I don't see why they can't squeak in at that 8th seed.
PG: Clarkson/J. Lin
SG: Kobe/Ellington
SF: Butler/Nick Young
PF: Randle/Boozer
C: Okafor/Davis
That team right there can definitely compete for that 8th seed. Jimmy Butler now is the biggest pipe, but is still in the realm of possibility. I can't wait for this offseason to get underway. I think the Lakers just became a much more attractive destination. We should be atop the Western Conference again by 2017.

Yeah, if GS doesn't screw that up they are going to have a nice 5-6 year window. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.
