I'd be happy enough if we just got Coop as an Assistant Coach. |

I would rather give Byron another go. All I know is that with good enough talent, his teams don't underachieve. I want to add better pieces and see what he's got to offer. |

Thibs destroys the bodies of his players. Would be a shame to watch him run Randle/Okafor/Clarkson down. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

bad move if it's true. he's a veteran's coach, not good in developing young players. so Thib's going run Kobe to the ground next season while playing our no. 2 pick 10 min/game? |

Lakers didn't send B.Scott to the lottery just to can him in order to bring Thibs in. It is unfortunate that Thibs wasn't let go last summer because in many ways he would be a great coach for us. _________________ Back to Back Yeah, Yeah...and you know that!

on second thought, does anyone know if Jimmy Butler is happy with Thib in Chicago? i won't mind hire Thib if he can persuade Jimmy to sign here. |

2 things.
1. Chicago/Thibs have a contract, IIRC 2 more years.
2. Chicago has RFA rights to Butler.
So what Butler thinks really is irrelevant. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Mitch shuts down TT interest but interesting part is that the Lakers also said they were very very happy with MDA before they respectfully canned him... so you never know. |

Thibs would make Okafor and Randle more respectable on D. _________________ |

Doesn't count against cap so it's the Buss' personal problem from a fan's perspective _________________ |

Didn't Mike D'Antoni resign? Pretty sure he wasn't fired. _________________ I LOVE BASKETBALL! |

Exactly. They could be paying 15 coaches as far as I'am concerned. |

We're not firing Byron after one year. He's going to get another chance with a(hopefully) improved roster next season. It'd go against the idea of the Lakers "taking care of their own" too. |
