Lakers' future just took a major positive turn with the no. 2 pick lottery drawing, we need to find a way to dump players with losing mentality currently on the team. i would start out with Nick Young. the guy only cares about shooting and showboating, i don't care how little he makes, i just don't what that dude's attitude around our rookies and Randal. Jordan Hill and Wes Johnson are the other two i'd like to flip for a future pick if there's a way.

I think by all indication guys like Nick Young, he's just goofy but he doesn't irritate people like Rondo.

not a big fan of Rondo and i hope we don't sign him. with that said, most of Rondo's blowups in the past were him arguing with head coaches on team strategies, that tells me the guy cares about winning, he just wants to do it his way. Nick Young on the other hand does not care about winning, he'd celebrate a 4 point play opportunity like a fool while team is down by 25 pts late in the 4th qtr.

I think Nick deserves a last chance. I think he's the most annoying person/player I've ever witnessed, but in the 13-14 season he looked like he could be a top 6th man in the league. Give him til the trade deadline.. Next season his contract turns into the equivalent of a 2mil contract so even if we keep him it won't be such a bad thing

Nick is kind of like the class clown, you can't have a whole team of Kobe Type A personality types, that'll drive everyone insane.

Maybe he can pull a JR Smith somewhere else with less distractions.

Probably it would take him + a pick for some trash player or a TPE. With all the picks we owe in the next years I don't want to lose a pick anymore so I don't mind having Nick.

You must remember that the Lakers just went through a tank.
It was beneficial to loose. Bigger the better.

The Lakers culture just was not conductive to good play.

You can see why players don't want to play for celler dwellers for they get to be like them.

But hopefully the Lakers are on the upward trend.

Nick Young when motivated can be a scoring machine.

I think the Lakers went through hell this season, and it was not good for any player.

Then why did he play better the previous season when they were godawful as well? Oh right, contract...

Call up Philly.

Offer Nick & #34 for any 2 of their 2nd round picks.

Anyone who's already had Nick probably knows best why not to take Nick.

Seriously. The guy hits a three near the end of a blowout loss and acts like he just hit the game winner.

Hopefully with a more talented roster he will play a more reduced role and only be needed to score.

I think because of injuries he had to take on a much bigger role and opposing teams game planned to stop him for the first time in his career.

I believe he will bounce back and play much better next season.

Rondo is just destructive to the team; blowing on the coach during a game is just a distraction the younger Lakers don't need.

I've got nothing to say about Young, if the Lakers can dump him that's great but it would suck to have both Rondo and Young on this team.

Just stay away from Rondo, it should not be either or.

This^^^^ every team needs bench scoring and he was a sixth man for a reason. If we're going to make a push for a playoff spot next year you need Young to carry the scoring load when Kobe is not in the game. Most of the hate for Young comes from when he won us 2-3 games in 2014 and the celebration after the win in OT against the Celtics and people said that win would cost us the pick TBH.
