If so, how much better will they get?

This...

The man just had major heart surgery in addition to dealing with cancer. They Lakers have plenty of other guys than can enlist to help a center (or any other player) in their development.

One of the reasons i'm so excited about the new prospects is that the Lakers have proven they're able to develop talent better than the vast majority of the league.

Thought about this the other day. Who will they hire to work with the big man? Since Kareem is not an option.

Doesn't Shaq have an ownership stake with the Kings?

Any big the Lakers draft would have to work with Hakeem in the off season. It's VERY unlikely the the Lakers would hire him or that he'd agree to work for the Lakers.

I have no doubt Worthy would work with the bigs. The Lakers would be smart to have Kobe act as a mentor also.

No, they'll be working with Jim Buss' new hire, Special Assistant Kwame Brown.

Shaq: Just give your man two power dribbles as you back him down into the paint. When the double comes, rise through the hack for a dunk and the And 1. Pretty simple.

Kareem will help when he gets to be 100% healthy, until then the Captain needs to just focus on himself.

Kareem will teach OKafor the hook shot. OKafor skill set is very adaptable, plus big hands, wing span to do it.
