|
|
Quote: | While visiting the popular and fast growing PSD underwear brand’s headquarters, Butler said that he is coming to L.A. to sign with the Lakers. Have the Lakers prepared an offer sheet already for Jimmy Butler?
This would lead to the obvious question of tampering because the season isn’t over with and free agency doesn’t begin until July. But nevertheless, Butler appears to like the Los Angeles area quite a bit after being seen with star Mark Wahlberg in Beverly Hills yesterday and may want to call the L.A. area his home some day. |

Okafor/Butler and vets to fill out the roster would put us up back to the top of the WC next year. |

Like:
Lebron signs with us for vet minimum because he wants titles
Deandre will sign with us for a decent discount
Then Aldridge will sign with us close to the max
Okafor can come off the bench. |

I think if he wants to leave, he can just sign a 1 year contract with another team, and then Bulls have to pay him for 1 year only. Then he's unrestricted. |

Not if the Lakers put pressure on the Bulls by offering Butler a 2-year no trade clause. |

Would the bulls match a max offer with a no-trade clause throughout the term of the contract? _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

If all it took was the Lakers giving a NTC, I would give a max no trade clause for every year. _________________ Darvin Scam: https://media.tenor.com/images/3c15249955860a4b16b59e8ae035fb75/tenor.gif |

If he said it to the Bulls media it was most likely PR to show the Bulls fans that he wants to be with the Bulls.... at this point no one knows what he's thinking. |

Tell us more about this No Trade Clause.
100. When can't a player be traded? Can players be given "no-trade" clauses in their contracts?
Quote: | A "no-trade" clause prevents the team from trading the player without the player's consent. A no-trade clause can be negotiated into a new contract1 if the player has been in the NBA for at least eight seasons, and has played for the team with which he is signing for at least four seasons2. They don't have to be the four most recent seasons -- for example, Horace Grant received a no-trade clause from Orlando when he signed with them in 2001. He had played for Orlando for the requisite four seasons, but had played for Seattle and Los Angeles in the interim. Few players actually have one of these negotiated no-trade provisions (currently only Carmelo Anthony, Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett, Dirk Nowitzki and Dwyane Wade have them). |
